Skye abilities and limitations

I haven't been able to find any clarification on the following subject: Does Skye's blocking of Aim and dodge affect named monsters?

I have no problem with its use on common and master monsters, but it seems that named monsters should be immune.

Not that that's a bad idea, but why exactly do you fell that this is important?

I can't find anything in Skye's description that would make a distinction, so by RAW it certainly looks like the ability is fully effective against named monsters.

Yeah I agree with Antistone. I haven't seenn anything to suggest that named monsters are immune to Skye.

It seems unbalanced to me. By allowing the ability to work on named monsters, they (the monsters) just become another master monster of their type, albeit with more hitpoints and armor. Usually by the time a party gets to a named monster, they are powerful enough to kill the monster in one or two rounds. Allowing the aim and dodge would give the monster a fighting chance and give the party a greater challenge. Either the value of Vyrah should be greater, or the ability of Skye should not work on named monsters.

I tend to think you're overestimating the difference this makes...yes, bosses tend to die quickly in Descent (just like everything else), and yes, a couple Dodge cards will make them live ever-so-slightly longer, but that's not usually going to make a serious difference at that point in the game.

There is no possible chance that the difference of Skye working on named monsters or not is worth increasing Vyrah's conquest value. In fact, the difference between Skye working on everything and not having Skye at all is really unlikely to be worth a change in Vyrah's conquest value.
