It seems that the wording of this particular power is really messed up. It stops solid projectiles but does it stops bolts ? How about grenades or something thrown using the fling power ? Also the power has a range. Does it protect teammates too? I tried searching the forum for answers but the search function seems broken at the moment. Is there any similar power in any other books that we could compare it and maybe figure out how it works ?

Yes it stops bolts. Bolts are solid, explosive shells. Grenades and other solid matter being thrown or flung can also be stopped. It's a telekinetic power, it just requires there to be some Matter for you to interact with. Fire or other Energy attacks have no mass to interact with, and can not be stopped.
The range is the distance at which you can affect this mass, and so you can indeed shield other people who stay close to you. As for grenades, missiles and other payloads with a Blast radius, these may still hurt you if you stop them too close to you.
I recall there were some discussions as to whether missiles would detonate as the "fall harmlessly to the ground" or not, and I guess this is a GM call.
