Act 2 help for the OL

Okay just ran the campaign to act2 tonight and finished the shadow ritual and the desecrated tomb. I must say the heroes are doing an amazing amount of damage to my monsters and winning feels somewhat impossible at this point. We are playing with 3 heroes 1 bezerker that has the black armor dice with the feat to ingore 1 attack result. The Wildlander archer who does +3 at 5 range for a feat and finally the wizard whose feat is to immoblize all adjacent monsters. Tonight I had the bezerker do 15 damage in one strike using a combo of abilities and using the grinding axe and the archer doing 9 with a chance to reroll misses it just seems weird that the game takes this big of a sway in act 2.

Most apparent in the Desecrated tomb where my Monster hero dies at any time it is pretty much game over as the dragon will always attack him when he stands up. Also as a question to that if Luitenant stands up is it like the hero stand up or do I still recieve 1 additional action? Also why does the dragon not go after the person who picked up the "duskblade/dawnblade" and attack the nearest target. It seems somewhat flawed as the hero that can pick up the blade run away with it and the dragon will attack my luitenant as soon as he stands up? Is there some variant that allows the OL to compete with these super powered heroes in act 2 or am I just not playing it right ?

We have opposite experience. I(OL) loosed 2 of first act quests and we played heroes Interlude. I won it with big effort and after half a day play.

And after this was 2 anihilating quests - second act monsters smashes heroes in first room without any chance(it was 4 heroes game, the bought all good items from shop and win 2 relics). 4 Encouters including with the Ruine dragon - 0 loot, 3-4 moves, all heroes dead, no chance…

After some other campaigns heroes even create theme in boargeek about overpowdered OL…

By the way - similar party knight-(black die+ immune to one attack); Disciple-(get search token); thief-(+3 at range 5) and runemaster-(pierce 3 attack) just loosed 3 quests in act 1 and now is going to hard interlude
