if i have 2 stacked mai** (one starting character and one i played from my hand), do all my attacks get stun:4 or two stun:2? Do all my control checks get +2(since i have 2 mai**) or +1 since they are considered the same character?

i believe 2 stacked characters of the same type do nothing.

I.E. if you stacked a Mai* on top of Mai** you would get abilities of both

If you stack Mai** on Mai** you get the abilities of Mai** (same as if you just had a single Mai** in play)

The only reason (i know of) to stack multiple same character version cards is things like Yi Shang or whatever his name is

you mean like Feline Spike multiple? No

From the T.R. multiple copies have copied printed values and blank text boxes

if you have two **Mai**s out the CCs would get +1 (since the X doesn't include your starting character).

It would take 3 Mais to get +2 CC, but it doesn't matter if they are the same version or not.

Also, Smazzurco, I think you're wrong. The multiple get blank text boxes when they're created, but that doesn't mean that abilities/continuous abilities can't give it to them. So when you enhance with multiple from FS, as each multiple copy is added to the card pool it gains Stun: 2 from Mai's continuous ability.
