So, Aggro. Its interesting. Depending on what symbol you choose to use, it can have some major problems. Now I'm not saying this deck has some major issues, as I tried to provide some answers to everything I could think of while still trying to keep the 4 checks on the DL.

Right now, the best aggro foundation would probably be Bitter Rivals. I mean, lets face it, its the card that makes almost every attack deal damage, so all those effects go off and your opponent actually takes it. Looking at what it does in the deck:

1. Omni directional cluster bomb will deal damage so lunar slash can be dumb

2. Moon Glow will deal damage so you actually can draw into all of that stuff

3. Every multiple of lunar slash will deal damage, so the opponent will actually die instead of just blocking

4. Tells Rejection to go die in a fire

5. Makes blocking one of the prettiest girls at the harvest moon ball

So lunar slash is cool, but just playing it doesn't guarantee your opponent will die. Lets look at some lunar slash deterrents and figure out ways around them.

1. Seal of cessation: Everyone’s favorite answer to anything. The only reason NOT to run this card is if your deck needs to check 5's 6's and 7's as early as turn 2-3. Case in point, I am hesitant to run it as an answer to itself. So what are the current Seal answers in the meta? Inhuman perception, SoC itself, and Amy's assistance. Amy's is cool cause it has that much sought after Commit an Asset ability. The problem with amy's? Its easily negated! Chesters, Red lotus and no memories come to mind.

2. Blood Runs True: A bane of aggro, this card is great at taking the "finish" out of FINISH HER (or him, just liked the pun idea). Most aggro decks will rely on a finisher, a card that is going to kill your opponent after they have filled up their card pool with blocks and have 2 or less cards in hand. This is where BRT comes in handy. You see, it almost doesn’t matter which attacks deal damage as long as by the end of the turn, you’re not dead. Enter BRT, that fun card that axes out the final blow, so the control player can just sit there and laugh whilst the aggro player comes to the realization that he or she will now have to wait for another turn for the control player to play even MORE foundations and assets, before he or she will get another shot. So, ENTER EVIL PLANS. Yay, it’s an answer! Boo, its easily negated, and I have no negation for… well… Negation! However, if it, like all of the OTHER semi-control pieces go down early, a potential turn 2-3 is on the horizon.

3. Battle prowess: for every one of these that hits the table, a tank deck can soak up one more attack. Which means one more lunar multiple doesn’t even matter. Best way to get around this? INSANE DMG PUMPAGE! Which is where the funderful (That’s a word I may or may not have just made up combining the words “fun” and “wonderful”) Personal Style comes into play. Just one of these hits the table, and a turn where I played just Omni and Slash turns into a good 35 damage killing spree. Add some more attacks in the card pool along with savage fighter and that is a pretty dead opponent.

As for the rest of the deck, it’s pretty much kind of fluffy. Wind dance is funny with Omni and slash cause everyone has MIDS (Plus one minus one letter away from AIDS), and Bitter rivals can make moon glow work with it as well. White magic is just some extra momentum for when the deck fails to grab me a stupid Omni. Makai High is the obligatory answer to olcadon’s. Empires Ruin and Adopted are that extra speed on top of all the other pumps that may make a difference at some point in time. Bereaved is just crap, but it has one dif and a 5 check, and there are no other more preferential cards I could think of. Commitment to excellence is being run along the same vain.

The deck itself runs 21 checks of 4 or lower, 12 of which are 3 and below. Only one foundation sports the 3 difficulty. Odds are, I’m going to break down and run SoC after this deck fails miserably, but I haven’t tested it yet so who knows.

So that’s the deck, hope you like it. Its janky and fun, and isn’t gonna win anything; just trying out an idea. Here’s to fire hopefully getting some more support next set, and any of you with more experience in the symbol, advice on card change ups is muchly appreciated.
