The newest edition of the Smuggler's Den is up and available at Card Game DB and ITunes. This week Tiny and Ben discuss a wide range of topics such as having one core set, which side of the force is stronger, which LS affiliation pod is best, and There is No Escape. They also answer listener questions such as "How good does a card have to be to carry a bad pod?" Moreover, the duo includes segments such as Pod Quiz, Don't Do This, Rules Time, and the Card of the Week. Hope you enjoy the show.
The Smuggler's Den - A Star Wars Lcg Podcast - Episode 3
Another great cast. I find my self listening to each cast twice so I can catch all the great info you guys give. I would love for you guys to start a deck review/advice segment as we get more cards.
Halfway through and good stuff. I listen to each episode multiple times so will be glad when a few more get added. I think I have the first two memorized lol.
I love listening to these, keep up the good work. Its nice to know that some of the things I have been thinking are on par with what some veteran card players are also thinking. I am planning to get into this game more than I have for any other card game, so it gives me hope that this will be better than my dismal star wars ccg showings.
I'm super excited! I do have to wait a week to listen, because I save them to lighten up the drudgery of work.
Keep up the great work, guys.
Good job guys. Makes goinf to the gym less of a FORCE struggle…

I'd say about as good as Admiral Ackbar, or maybe slightly better, since I find it very difficult to justify running Draw Their Fire.
Great podcasts!

Why? Fleet Command Center is a affilation generating resouce enchancement, with an added effect and force icons. The X-Wing is 1 resource for decent icons and 2 health. The X-wing Escort is a great counter to the Devestator or the Defense Fleet and at low price tag, and Heroic Sacrifice is spot removal for AT-STs, Backstabber, Vader's Tie, and the Attack Squadron.
There is not a bad card in the block. And the objective sits at good health with 2 resources.
I'm really upset that you don't have the file downloadable like you did for the first two podcasts. I save it to a jumpdrive and take it to work to listen to since I can't access the website from work. Please continue to offer the downloadable file on cardgamedb and not just the stream. Thank you.

@Trowa: Sorry for the change. We've actually been putting CardGameDB under some strain due the bandwidth that has been used to download all the episodes so far. Hence the change. If you are still looking to download it, try the Podcasts on iTunes. You'll be able to download it there.
Why do you guys call the objective sets, pods ?

Thanks for the reply. Reading my last post it came off a lot more whiny than I intended. I've never used iTunes before but I just finished downloading it. I found your podcast in the store but I can't figure out how to download it. I can play it but I don't see where it gives me an option to download it. Am I missing something?

Disregard, I figured it out.

Because "objective set" is a mouthful, and "set" refers to a Core Set or Force Pack cycle, so an alternate term was chosen.

That's a really good question. I didn't even realize that it was unusual. I can't remember if the objective sets were referred to as pods in some official capacity, perhaps during playtesting, or if we have made up the term. Everyone in our meta calls them pods.
"Pods" was the name the community made up when the deckbuilding mechanic was first revealed, before any official release refering to them as "objective sets."
Having listened to all three now, I'd like to say thanks the the guys who put this together. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the cast Tiny. Good to hear your voice again. It has been a while!
