A Thank You to FFG

By UberMunchkin, in Dark Heresy Gamemasters

Afternoon folks,

I thought that I might take a moment this afternoon to say Thank You to the Fantasy Flight team, you see this week we finished our Dark Heresy Campaign. Now its fairly unusual for our gaming group to actually finish a campaign, not that we don't try but we tend to play something for 3-6 months and then want to try something new and don't end up going back to the in progress game.

However this time we stuck with it. We started playing Dark Heresy the week it was available in the UK and have been playing pretty much once a week since then, we started at Level 1 and finished at the XP Cap in Ascension, I ran my group through the intro adventure in the main book, the first two adventures in Purge the Unclean, the entire Haarlock series and the whole of the Apostasy Gambit. Not to mention a ton of material of my own devising.

We had a character who started out as a mustered out guardsman who ended up becoming an Inquisitor and leaving his mark on the sector for evermore. We had a Sister of Battle who it turned out was the heir to the Haarlock Dynasty, we had many other psykers, assassins, tech priests and so on.

Our campaign was huge, sweeping and amazingly enjoyable, in fact at the end of the last game everyone agreed that it was one of the best roleplaying experiences we've had as a group.

So a thank you deserves to be said to the Team at FFG (and the Black Library before them) who did such an excellent job in creating, maintaining and supporting this game, which enabled us to have all this fun.

Thank you all very much.

Nice!

Just some questions

1. What was your players favorite mission?

2. How did they manage the change from acolytes to Inquisitor?

3. What were the final insanity/corruption and infeuence points :)

Well done Sir to you and your team. I'm about a 3rd of the distance thorugh that you are.

I only have one question… how often do you play?

Can i second the thank you to FFG for providing a ton of supplements not to mention these excellent forums. I recently finished an epic DH campaign spanning about 4 years. It actually invovled two gaming groups each representing a different cell of the same Inquisitor.

I can say as much as I enjoyed it, it will be awhile before I GM such a large campaign again.
