For all of you out there who like numbers, and have been wondering which card is the best when it comes to accelerating your economy: which is best, sure gamble, easy mark, or magnum opus… As you'll see it all depends on how many clicks you'll be investing in them. Magnum opus will drain you out of money early, but after 9 clicks it already payed for itself and starts making you profit on the long term as compared to the 1 credit for a click basic deal.
Take into account that the effects of memory units (Magnum Opus) and agenda points are not taken into account here. Assumptions have been made, but the graphs nevertheless express the overall power of each card faithfully with respect to one another.
Note that it is assumed that unlike the corp, the runner will always spend a click to draw a card after playing one from hand, to maintain "life". Since the corp rather worries on deck depletion rather than hand depletion, the corp does not draw after playing a card from hand, making hedge funs slightly more powerful than sure gamble.
If you have any questions about this graph please kindly post and comment.
Cheers.
