Income graphs for corp and runner (for number-crunchers like I who like stats)

By Pentadude1, in Android: Netrunner The Card Game

For all of you out there who like numbers, and have been wondering which card is the best when it comes to accelerating your economy: which is best, sure gamble, easy mark, or magnum opus… As you'll see it all depends on how many clicks you'll be investing in them. Magnum opus will drain you out of money early, but after 9 clicks it already payed for itself and starts making you profit on the long term as compared to the 1 credit for a click basic deal.

Take into account that the effects of memory units (Magnum Opus) and agenda points are not taken into account here. Assumptions have been made, but the graphs nevertheless express the overall power of each card faithfully with respect to one another.

Note that it is assumed that unlike the corp, the runner will always spend a click to draw a card after playing one from hand, to maintain "life". Since the corp rather worries on deck depletion rather than hand depletion, the corp does not draw after playing a card from hand, making hedge funs slightly more powerful than sure gamble.

If you have any questions about this graph please kindly post and comment.

Cheers.

Good visual, if a tad overkill, haha. Your math for Kati needs multiple lines. There are different efficiencies by number of clicks before taking. For example, the 3 click line (2 to load, 1 to take) for Kati Jones should actually be effectively parallel to Magnum Opus, but break even sooner than Magnum Opus does. Kati should have a 1.5 click to credits gained ratio at the lowest possible level. So it should probably come off more as install to 3, click, click, take to 9, repeat to 15, repeat to 21, repeat ad nauseum.

Also your Pad Campaign line stops working at a certain point. Are you assuming it will be trashed?

Beanstalk Royalties also appears to be missing.

Pointless graph for some of these

Instant Money effects get a small spike at the start of the graph, then its the exact same line

Focus on ones that actually do have a curve to them, like Kati, Magnum Opus, Armitage, Liberated Accounts

and cut the data short on the instant ones, so they dont keep producing a pointless line

Thanks for the feedback.

@mdc273

1. Kati has a rule where she can only be used once per turn. My graphs assume the your clicks are solely meant to increase credits, therefore 1 click per turn would load Kati, and the other three would gain 3 credits. Kati Jones (12) shows the fficiency when loading her 4 times then collecting on the fifth turn. Kati Jones (15) in dashed line shows the curve if loading her to 15 before collecting.

2. Yes PAD was wrong from click 15 onwards. I'll update the chart eventually.

3. Beanstalk (BR) is indeed missing I'll add it, Weyland + BR curve will coincide with Hedge Fund curve with any other of the 3 corps.

@ Talamare: indeed perhaps i should chop the constant trends after the 6th click or so. They hinder the rest of the graph. Thanks for the suggestion.

Cool graphs! I knew there was I reason I loved Melange Mining Corp!

You should probably add a line for Kati that shows the alternate click/take/click/take. Just so that there's a visual for how she is really best used by amassing creds and then taking them. Right now, the difference you show is small, so the dramatic difference in efficiency might not be considered or as noticable.

I totally misread Kati… I hate playing so many games… There's too much stuff to remember, haha.

Excellent and intersting data for a new player/deck builder! Many thanks!
