Warcraft Adventure Game vs. Warcraft board game what are the major differences in the two games????

I currently paly Arkham Horror and Talisman are they like these what major differences???? in mechanics and play??

First, I assume you mean by "Warcraft Board Game", you mean "World of Warcraft: The Board Game". There are actually 3 games in the Warcraft universe that FFG makes: Warcraft: The Boardgame (with it's expansion), World of Warcraft: The Board Game (with it's expansions), and Warcraft: The Adventure Game (With it's expansions). I'll focus on the latter two, as the first is more of a tactical "wargame", whereas the other two are more strategic adventures.

I haven't played Talisman, so it's hard to say for sure. However, I think Warcraft: The Adventure Game is probably more like Talisman and Arkham Horror than the Board Game is. It's also got a bit of Runebound-esque feel to it, also.

The Board Game is a very "epic" style game - Class management is a lot more fine-tuned and micromanageable, cooperation is more key, and your objective is to beat a boss.

The Adventure Game is a bit simpler - the goal is to achieve the most points in quests first. Leveling up is a lot simpler, and there's a lot less micromanaging your character - you really don't control the abilities you get like you do in the Board Game. Combat is a lot simpler; the Board Game has a lot of dice manipulation and decisionmaking, whereas in The Adventure Game, it's a lot more straighforward.

It's interesting, because in many ways the games ARE somewhat similar. But the Adventure Game is a lot shorter, a lot simpler, and encourages direct head-to-head conflict a little more than the Board Game. However, not being a WoW player myself, my guess is the Board Game is probably "closer" to the feel of the computer game than The Adventure Game, because you have a lot more control over how your character acquires it's skills.

I've got to agree with a lot of what Sigmazero13 has said. I own both WoW:tag and WoW:tbg and each meets different gaming needs. I've got to say that my biggest turn-off with WoW:tbg has been the time requirement. With expansions our WoW:tbg games have run 6-8 hours long. Of course it would get shorter with more frequent play, but it's hard to convince myself (and the others!) that it's worth it, when there are so many other good games to play.

In my gaming circle (a pool of about a dozen married with children types), WoW:tag has been popular because it's essentially a race to collect points and those who WANT to PvP can, while those who don't want to... can usually avoid it. While you lose the customization of your characters in WoW:tag, that you would otherwise have in WoW:tbg... the time requirements for my group push us toward WoW:tag. Also to consider is personal freedom. In WoW:tbg, you coordinate your efforts with your teammates... planning out your moves to coincide and benefit each other/hinder the opposition. In WoW:tag, you are responsible for yourself; you make and follow your own plan. In WoW:tbg sometimes less knowledgable players have tended to take on an almost robot role... doing whatever the strongest personality pushes for. That is sad to see happen.
