OKLAHOMA!

By JZWINK, in Star Wars: The Card Game - Organized Play

Hey,

I know that we've got the Team Covenant crew out of Tulsa, but who else is playing this game in Oklahoma? Which stores will be supporting organized play? I live in NW Okla., but hope to get to some tournaments and chuck some dice! Oh wait, I slipped back into the TCG for a moment.

Unfortunately, I'm in the Tulsa crowd, so no help here. Hope you find a group to game with.

This is not meant as a bash on anyone who enjoyed it, but I hated the WotC TCG version of this game. First of all, it was obtained through nefarious methods (as were most of their games… not all, but most), and come on… dice in a card game? Who's bright idea was that one?

Did you play the TCG? I get the whole, "we loved the CCG and never wanted it to go away and a pox on WotC from taking the property from Decipher". Maybe it is because I missed the boat with the CCG and so I didn't have those hang-ups. I really enjoyed the TCG. Yes, dice were an acquired taste but typically a well constructed deck played with skill still won out even with a "luck" component.

I've gone to Tulsa to play in the past. I'm sure I could do it again. Maybe I'll see you there!
