Beginners Decks for two player using SINGLE Core Set

By hendersondayton, in Strategy and deck-building

I have a friend who just got the core set for LOTR:LCG. He wants to get together to learn the game.

I need two decks (one for each of us) from a single core set (no expansions).

I would like to try to combine two spheres in each deck so that he gets an idea of what each sphere is good for.

Feel free to point me to a CardGameDB deck if you have a link. Or just post your card lists here. Thanks!

These were the decks that i used to play with only 1 core set:

Great! Thanks a lot! I will try these out.

I just started playing too and this is exactly the type of advice I needed as well but I'm curious isn't it a three card limit you say include four copies of will of the west in the deck

I noticed this too when I was putting the deck together. May have just been a typo as there are only 2 in the core set.

Thank you for the quick reply.

Thank you very much! This game is a lot of fun and my gf actually likes it!

As i have a bigger card pool, and don't play with this decks for a long time, give me a summary of your plays so i see if they need an improvement or not.

Do not expect to beat Escape from Dol Guldur with this decks. That is an hard quest, even with much bigger card pools…
