Out of all the ideas we have all mentioned I think a Bab 5 games done like X-Wing is proballey the best option. Of course I want to do others like Yamato, and BSG but at the end of the day Bab 5 has that universe of fighters to match Star Wars. Yamato would be a better Capitol Ship game with fighter support, like Star Trek AW but better, and so much cooler.
Once FFG runs out of Star Wars ships to make would you like to see fighters from other SciFi universes added to the mix?
According to Star Trek Enterprise (for what thats worth) in another time line you have Stukas armed with phaser cannon.
"Dispatch the SQUADRON!"
Actually those Stukas had a pair of plasma cannons each. I LOLed when I saw the Enterprise flying over New York being attacked by Stukas. ... Well in reality they had equipped the newest and best plane with alien weapons, not the worst. So maybe the Me 262, Go 229 or the Li.P-13B ... or more even ... the Haunebu ... ![]()
But I liked the Episode. It made me laugh.
Dat Cake ya'll make too.
That looks delicious.
Only englishmen and americans would eat this ton of sugar and fat
No scotsmen would eat it too.
Only we'd deep fry it first. ![]()

Do we have a Highlander here? I hope you'd butcher this bad boy with your claymore? ^^
It is called a GERMAN Chocolate cake...you know.

Are we allowed to have the Spitfires from Doctor Who too then?
Yes but ONLY in a glorious PIRATE FLEET...
![]()
Right Doc?
Doc says yeah...
Issue solved. Now to hunt up some cool NOT Star Wars ships to use as Star Wars Pirates!

And this is called Amerikaner (American). Have you ever seen it before?
There needs to be a large swath of caramel in there to represent the Gray Area...
![]()
Then it would be true American.

Yup, black and white cookies are amazing!
As for the topic, I second what someone else said, it would be cool to see all these games be compatible but still separate products.
No. Just no.
And then there is Mobile Suit Gundam.....
Dat Cake ya'll make too.
That looks delicious.

From the country that invented these?

thats a laugh (this is a Schneeballchen, its made of deep fried dough and sugar, I got lucky enough to get some in Rothenburg when I visited in 06)

And there is already a series of small figures that makes excellent miniatures. We used then for a Gundam game we were playing a while back.
Easy to repaint and modify as well.
As for German food. I have fond memories of going on holiday my grandmothers house in Lauffen and waking up to breakfast of healthy meat, breads, cheese and peppermint tea. Which admittedly was countered by the fat laden dinners. But then going back to England we would eat fried bread with fried egg and tomato which was hardly health food. We are both as bad as eachother when it comes to food
BSG definitely but separate game.

Say Gossie, how large are your EDF and Gamie fighters in MM front back left right top bottom, please.

I have decided to start a little Yamato collection after all, and I want to get some dozens of all of your tiny Fighters & Bombers. I do not know how big they should be yet but I do have the Yamato model on order and it comes with some in scale (1/1000) fighters.

I have found other good pictures of this great little (12 inches long) model, and it comes with 10 fighters.
That ain't gonna be enough.

I'll drop a $100 like a hot tater on yours if we get this scale thing right...
![]()
i have them in a couple of scales the smaller ones are kind of a vague representative scale to go with the Yamato style ships i designed for a Yamato inspired tactical rpg we were doing. The larger ones are around 1/270. Let me check on the sizes of the smaller ones and i will get back to you asap. My 3d modelling program is occupied with rendering right now and my computer is slow and petulant enough that it will not run it more than once at the same time. Tomorrow afternoon at the latest i should think

Schneebällchen. Those 2 little spots above the a are important. This isn't the letter a, it's the letter ä. It matters.
If you don't have the the letters ü, ö, ä on your keyboard, you can write ue, oe and ae instead.
So, Schneebaellchen would be correct. Just for the sake if you want to know.
I know them as Schneeball (snowball) You can usually get those fuckers in the Schwarzwald. Though I must say I've never tried one.

According to Amazon, I am not getting the Yamato until mid December, so please do not kill yourself in a rush just now, but I do want to let you know of my intentions so you will be ready. When I have Yamato in hand I can get the good ole calipers out and give you an exact size. I am proballey going to want to get you to sculpt up a few special ships too.

I think you have some of these already done, but we can work the details out via PMs if you want to keep your exact sales private, that is up to you of course.
I am probably going to end up sending you $300 in business over the next three or four months...seriously, I have looked at your entire shop and I know that you LOVE this as much as I do...so you ARE my Star Blazers tiny ship artist now. I am of course going to build EDF and GAM fleets and both need their fighters and bombers.

After all of this is done can you sculpt me up a Happy Nurse too?
![]()
There would be so many vertexes and such trying to 3d sculpt a happy nurse my computer would shiver and spark like a Jawa just shot it and then promptly explode *L*
I dont actually have any of those exact ships but definitely some closely inspired ones. The limitations of the printing process means that some of the Yamato aesthetic, very thin antennae, sweeping thins etc has to be sacrificed once you get to a very small scale.
The Dresden Class Battlecruiser http://lorelei-shipyards.tumblr.com/post/67742836539/dresden-class-edsf-battlecruiser is the latest of my Yamato (pre wave motion) style ships and an attempt at remaking and upgrading my Langsdorff Class Cruiser in Starblazers fleet battle scale (Though i truly hate that system, but it is all a matter of taste) i think it came out pretty nicely but it is likely at 45mm the smallest scale capital ship i can do. Anything smaller and the loss of detail and shape would make it not worth the effort and an insult to Reiji Matsumoto's design concepts.

From looking at the Yamato images I have in my Star Blazers files ( Ha, Ha!) and confirming that it is 12 inches long, I think it is safe to say that a Cosmo Tiger is about 15 to 20 milometers long.
I completely understand that some of the finer details will have to be rounded out, thickened or left off of these little fighters. I think you can sculpt some up and or convert /re-size what you have already to get me the modern 2199 versions of these wonderful ships. I want the main five done from the new series.
So that is $125.00 directly to you via PayPal I should think. I need about 200 of these. Say 50 EDF and 150 GAM that will be around $200 to Shapeways. Very doable for me over three or four months. Right in time for wonderful spring weather and great Tamiya fine detail primer adventures in the comfortable afternoons then.

i can get the fighters down to 18 or 20mm i believe. they are exactly 1 inch at the moment, i may just remake from scratch it is less likely to cause print issues than if i start reshaping the bodies etc as they are. I will see about putting them in multi packs as it ends up cheaper that way (not sure why, they use the same amount of material but 3 fighters that would cost 5 bucks each in a 3 pack will cost a bit less than 4 )they will be cheap enough at that scale also that i suggest you use frosted detail to bring out details
Are you going to be needing any larger fleet ships?
What system are you going to be using to game with. the figures from Japan are, i believe. a fair bit bigger than the Starblazers battles minis, This was us getting our ships set up before the attack on the Gorgol Homeworld and the number 2 ship is one of the official line of ships from japan and as you can see not too different in size, from ours

In all seriousness I have found all of the available Yamato 2199 models, not just the ones shown in that "Nope" link, and they are all in my Amazon wish list right now.

Check your messages too bro.
