I own the core and lannister and stark expansion yet I can seem to find Tywin Lannister and Eddark Stark.

I did get 5 leadership cards for each in the core set but no character cards and no leader figure.

Is something amiss?

Yes. A figure and one stats card for each one should have been in your core set.
