Hello! I have played a few games with the core set decks with my friends and have a question. Are "conditions" lasting effects? Are they permanent, or do they go away at the end of the game turn? I did not see anything that stated how long they lasted in the rules or in the FAQ, thanks!
New to the Game, How do conditions work?
Conditions are attachments. They are not automatically discarded at the end of the turn. They remain attached to the character or location until the character or location dies or is discarded -- or until a specific effect removes the attachment.
Small tip about Conditions: Condition is usually considered a bad trait for attachment to have since there are a few cards that discard specifically Condition attachments (e.g., Maester of Lemonwood allows you to discard any number of Condition attachments from play just by playing him from your hand).
Condition is to attachments as Ally is to characters.
Its just a trait thats often negative, doesnt do anything by itself but interacts with other cards that name it for effects etc.

Gonna double down on this reply.
There is no card type "Condition". It is generally applied as a trait on attachments, though there is no direct correlation between Condition and attachments. There very well could be an event, character, or location printed with the condition trait (though I doubt it would make any thematic sense).
Attachments are a form of "permanent". This means they are kept in play until removed by some effect (usually a character dying, or a removal effect specific to attachments). The trait, "Condition", is an identifier on the card that enables other card types to have more specific applications within a given card type. For example, there is a copy of Littlefinger that says something to the effect of "no condition attachments". In this case, it means that he can not have any attachments with the "Condition" trait. Without the traits, he would either be immune to all attachments or immune to no attachments.
"Condition" is just a word, as is any trait, that gives a level of granularity for card design and effects.
Note that "no attachments" (and its variants) is very different from "immune to attachments" (and its variants). The first means attachments cannot be played on the card, the second means the card cannot be targeted or affected by text on attachments.
