Additional / different tokens?

By El_Tonio, in X-Wing

I have found that it would sometimes be helpful to have a few additional tokens in the game. I know there are other ways to note the examples I list below, but since tokens are so often used for other actions, I think it would be easier to have tokens for these actoins as well (since they stick around for like focus, evade, and target lock).

R2-F2

Marksmanship

Swarm Tactics (this one isn't an action, but I've been putting a bead or something on the ship getting swarm tactics to help keep track in my 7 TIE swarm, so a token wold still have been appreciated)

Exposure (from Wave 2)

Not a huge deal, I know, but helpful/easier nonetheless. What do other folks think (am I missign anything, any other interst in this idea)? Does anyone on the boards have skills/ability to make this sort of thing that they can post online that we can print and cut out ourselves (assuming anyone else is interested besides me)?

For Swarm Tactics, I don't know;

But for cards with actions that you need to remember later; such as Marksmanship or R2-F2; I just use the card itself as a token and I find that works well.

I like to use the green tracking tokens to show I used a special ability.

As the OP stated, they are great; but they are only available for Evade, Focus and Target Lock.

How do you show R2-F2, or Marksmanship?

They aren't used in the normal game, and unless you have more than one ability with a lasting effect, you will know what it is for.

those punch outs from the base chits also make good tokens that fit visually with the other tokens. As it has been said before you can use anything, really as long as you make your opponent aware of it. I use glass beads frequently.

I've been using that, too (along with critical hit tokens which I don't usually use otherwise). I just think they are comon enough that it would be nice if they had tokens (to standardize things so you don't have to keep reminding yourself or your opponent what some random token is supposed to mean in this game).

I would never use the Crit tokens, as they do come into play regularly in games and I wouldn't want to cause confusion when they do.

For marksmanship, I take on of my extra attck dice and just place it on the base of the ship. Same thing for the droid with the extra defense die. Use obviously a green one for that.

I suppose if you use crit tokens then this wouldn't make sense. But, I've never used one or seen one used (even after playing in two Kessel Run events). We just put the card on the ship and keep track of it from there.

But, looks like several people have come up with creative solutions to the problem, making me think additionsl tokens would, in fact, be worthwhile to standardize things.
