Zanaga heroes for Descent:Second Edition

Hello everybody. I recently bought Runebound: Mists of Zanaga, and decided to add these heroes to Descent (because +50 are not enough). I couldn't find rules for them, so I decided to make my own. They were posted not so long ago at BGG, so maybe some of you already know this versions, but just in case, I decided to share them here in the official FFG forums.

They need more playtesting to adjust them, but if anyone see something he doesn't like, or had a good idea, feel free to share them, because I don't consider them my characters or anything. I just pretend them to be fun and balanced: this versions already had changed a bit, thanks to Morthai, who also made character sheets for them at BGG.

Also, excuse me if I made any mistake, english is not my language (and I'm still trying to improve my level).

MALIKI THE CLAW - Warrior

Speed: 4 Health: 12 Stamina: 4 Defense: Gray
Might: 4 Knowledge: 1 Willpower: 3 Awareness: 3

Hero Ability:
If an attack against you fails to deal at least 1 (heart) to you, you may suffer 1 (fatigue) to deal 1 (heart) to the attacking monster.

Heroic Feat:
Use when you are attacked. During this turn, you may add 1 additional black die to your defence pool every time you are attacked.


SAKA - Warrior

Speed: 3 Health: 10 Stamina: 3 Defense: Gray
Might: 3 Knowledge: 2 Willpower: 3 Awareness: 3

Hero Ability:
You have the Kuto familiar. At the beginning of each of your turns, place Kuto in an empty adjacent space to you.

Heroic Feat:
Use when you are defeated to immediately place Kuto in your space. You may move him up to his speed and perform an attack whit him.


KUTO (Saka’s familiar)

Speed: 4 Health: 3 Defense: -

This familiar is treated as a figure. It may perform one attack action during it’s activation.
Ranged attack. 1 blue dice + 1 yellow dice

Another option is to don’t make Kuto a familiar, and just give Saka an extra attack each round, or make him add power dice to his attacks. In that case, the feat will need changes too.

KALA THE HUNTER - Scout

Speed: 5 Health: 10 Stamina: 5 Defense: Gray
Might: 3 Knowledge: 2 Willpower: 2 Awareness: 4

Hero Ability:
All your attacks gain:

“(surge): Pierce 2”

Heroic Feat:
Chose a monster within 5 spaces of you in your line of sight. Roll a red power die. The chosen monster suffers (heart) equal to the (heart) rolled.

ANNEN THE TRAILBLAZER - Scout
“If there’s a trail, I’ll find it” (this phrase is my own creation, because the Runebound card has none)

Speed: 5 Health: 10 Stamina: 4 Defense: Gray
Might: 2 Knowledge: 3 Willpower: 2 Awareness: 4

Hero Ability:
During each of your move actions, you may move into spaces containing monster figures by spending 1 (fatigue) for each occupied space.

Heroic Feat:
(action): Move double your speed. You may open/close any door during this movement without performing an action to do so.


ELGA (Originally Spiritspeaker Elga) - Healer

Speed: 3 Health: 12 Stamina: 3 Defense: Gray
Might: 1 Knowledge: 4 Willpower: 3 Awareness: 3

Hero Ability:
Each time you perform an attack and deal at least 1 (heart), you or an adjacent hero may recover 1 (heart) and 1 (fatigue).

Heroic Feat:
Use at the start of your turn. The overlord discard his hand of Overlord cards an draw an equal amount of new cards.

Alternatively, we can make the overlord take cards as if the game just started (one for each hero).


RUNEMAKER TARA - Mage

Speed: 4 Health: 10 Stamina: 4 Defense: Gray
Might: 1 Knowledge: 4 Willpower: 3 Awareness: 3

Hero Ability:
Everytime you attack with a rune, the attack wins:
“take 1 (fatigue): + 1 (heart)”

Heroic Feat:
(action) Roll 1 red power die. Each miniature adjacent to you suffers (heart) equal to the (heart) rolled.

Alternatively, the feat for Tara could be some distance attack that affects all miniatures in his range, after choosing one direction.
