The Calixis Sector on the Lexicanum wiki.

By Ursca, in Dark Heresy

Some kind of reference site is needed for the growing amount of information on the Calixis Sector. BI was planning a 'living Calixis' site, but FFG hasn't picked up on this.

As a result, I started putting together a proper Calixis page at the Lexicanum Wiki.

At the moment, it's just some of the content from this page. (As far as Dwimlicht). If anyone has a spare moment, it would be great if they could add to it. It could be a fantastic resource with a bit of work.happy.gif Even if it's only a handful of barebones pages with references to source books and page numbers, it would go a long way to making sure that you haven't missed something vital out when researching a planet.

I agree it's clear that the whole BI Calixis project has broken down substantially, and I'm really hoping that FFG will step up and straighten things out a bit...

For example, the Calixis map in my copy of DH is all over the place - two planets called "Lind," two called "Bront..." FFG appear to have addressed this in their copy of the map which is on the resources section of this website - much more internally consistent, but with loads of new worlds not mentioned anywhere in any of the books to date.

I don't want to suggest anyone NOT get involved in updating calixis info on Lexicanum, but I'm hoping FFG will start to run competitions soon (as they did for the adventure competition) to restart the project here, thus making such efforts unnecessary. However, I could be being over-optimistic.

For my part, I always found the fan project on the old BI website to be one of the biggest attractions in the whole DH. As a huge 40k setting fan, I loved being able to contribute my own little piece of background - I got two planets onto the BI website, and I still get a kick out of seeing the worlds on Calixis maps!

Please Ross, if you're reading this, restart the online sector project, I promise I'll be good and buy every book you ever write on Dark Heresey and Rogue Trader if you do! ....OK I would have probably done so anyway, but still... gran_risa.gif

I'll buy all the books too.

And I would have done so anyway, also!

****. We need a better salespitch :)

Wow, nice work there Ursca!

Can you add unofficial stuff to Lexicanum? If so I've got my own write-ups on many of the Hazeroth Abyss worlds I could add...

Lexicanum only utilizes official canon material Evilscary, but I'd personally be interested in anything people have to flesh out some of the lesser known planets :)

As Callidon says, it's canon material only, I'm afraid. Perhaps a link on the article? The chaps over there do seem a little strict in that regard, though.

I've finished off the list of planets in the main Calixis article, and now I'm starting to work my way through the Calixis Planets PDF. 41 Pry, Acreage and Baraspine are done so far.
