Hey Investigators!

Just a reminder that this Wednesday the second ever Call of Cthulhu LCG league will kick off at Burwood at 6.30pm. Its run over 6 weeks, with players dropping their worst weeks score. It $7 to play each with, with 50% of the prize pool going to the overall league prize, and 50% to the nightly prize. Overall and lucky door prizes handed out also, plus its a real fun game played by cool people. I am beginning to think its the best LCG made, its that much fun!

If you'd like to try cruise in around 6pm any Wednesday, someone will show you how its done, then lend you a deck to play. Its easy to get into, and lost people who try this game like it a lot.

See you all Wednesday!

Hey Investigators!

An action packed night of checking out the supernatural occured last night, and 6 intrepid investigators all gathered to check out post Shane Warne facelift photos…and play Call of Cthulhu! And it was great. Showing last years league was no fluke, Leslie went 4-0 with his Cthulhu/Hastur guys to take the early lead. Kieren showed a reversal of form by winning a few games to finish second, whilst Kym and her very saucy handbag crushed plenty of dreams, and Jason using his deck, to finish third. Standings below.

Leslie 1 4 5
Kieren 1 3 4
Kym 1 2 3
Jason 1 2 3
Daniel 1 1 2
Eliza 1 0 1

Cthulhu is awesome, and we play each Wednesday night at Burwood. Its just $7 to play, with nightly and overall prizes up for grabs, but more importantly, a fun night with great people on offer. Players dump their worst weeks score.

If you'd like to try, cruise in any Wednesday around 6pm, someone will give you a demo and lend you a deck to try. Its an living card game, meaning its cheap to get into (you don't need to bust heaps of boosters to get expensive chase cards), but most importantly, its fun!

See ya next Wednesday, I for one am glad to be playing again after the break

Cheers

Hey Team,

Week 2 of the 2013 Cthulhu was held last Wednesday night, and after 4 action packed rounds, 3 goobers could not be separated on points or count back! AU champ Louis Armstrong, AU Runner Up Leslie La and random player Kenny Goober all ended up 3-1 to split the nightly prize-Leslie also won the lucky door prize. Kym, Daniel and Kieren finished on 2 points each with the very Saucy Eliza picking up 1 win. Standings below

Leslie 1 4 3 8
Kieren 1 3 2 6
Kym 1 2 2 5
Daniel 1 1 2 4
Kenny 1 3 4
Troy 1 3 4
Jason 1 2 3
Eliza 1 0 1 2
As you can see its pretty close at the top early. Call of Cthulhu is a fine game, and we play each Wednesday night at 6.30pm. Its just $7 to play with nightly and overall prizes, and lucky door prizes, up for grabs. We also have a BUNCH of Sydney based Regionals coming up April-June, with a National event schduled some time post September. But more importantly, its a fun game played by nice people! If you'd like to try, cruise in on a Wednesday, someone will lend you a deck and show you how to use it LIKE A BOSS!

Cheers, see ya Wednesday

Hey Investigators,

Week 3 of the 2013 league was run and won last night, with Louis Armstrong and his 4 faction funkiness going undefeated 4-0 to take the night. We had 5 people tied on 2-2, so after 2 tiebreaks Patrick and his Miskatonic guys won out over Leslies funky Haster and Purple milling dudes for second. Standings below

Leslie 1 4 3 2 10
Kieren 1 3 2 2 8
Troy 1 3 4 8
Kym 1 2 2 1 6
Daniel 1 1 2 2 6
Kenny 1 3 4
Jason 1 2 1 4
Patrick 1 2 3
Mark 1 2 3
Eliza 1 0 1 2
We play each Wednesday night, and the world is a better place for that. Cthulhu is a fine, fun game, and I don't even care too much for Lovecrafts world, the game makes it good. If you'd like a demo, cruise in on a Wednesday and someone will give you a run through and a deck to borrow. You'll be glad you did!

Cheers

Hey Investigators,

After a CANCON inspired break last week, we were back in the libruary of bad things to investigate strange going ons last night. And the gathering had their class and glamour level raised significantly by the appearence of Kristal, who not only learnt the game 5 minutes before round 1, then went 3 wins and a draw to win the night! The ever dependable Brother Jason was second, with a bunch of players equal third. It was a great night. Standings below

Leslie 1 4 3 2 2.5 12.5
Kieren 1 3 2 2 2 10
Troy 1 3 4 8
Daniel 1 1 2 2 2 8
Jason 1 2 1 3 7
Kym 1 2 2 1 6
Patrick 1 2 2 5
Kristal 1 3.5 4.5
Kenny 1 3 4
Mark 1 2 3
Eliza 1 0 1 1 3
Players drop their worst weeks score. We play every Wednesday night at 6.30pm at Burwood, and I love it. Its a great game with cool people playing it. Its easy to learn, easy to get into, and FFG have game night kits, Regionals and Nationals coming later this year.

If you'd like to learn, cruise in on a Wednesday, someone will show you how its done and lend you a deck to play. Good times!

Until next week, that thing that goes bump in the night is probably looking to eat your brains!

Hey Team!

Wednesday was the final night of the first 2013 Call of Cthulhu league, and Leslie cemented his place at the top of the league by going 3-0 to take the night and the title-well done leslie! Despite not winning a game Wednesday Kieren limped into second on the league table, and Daniel may rue his decision not to play Wednesday by finishing3rd, just 1 point behind KO! League standings below!

Leslie 1 4 3 2 2.5 0 3 3 18.5
Kieren 1 3 2 2 2 1 11
Daniel 1 1 2 2 2 2 10
Jason 1 2 1 3 2 9
Troy 1 3 4 8
Patrick 1 2 2 2 7
Kym 1 2 2 1 6
Kristal 1 3.5 1 5.5
Mark 1 2 2 5
Eliza 1 0 1 1 1 1 5
Kenny 1 3 4

So Leslie is our league champion and wins $50 store credit! Kieren gets $35 store credit, and Daniel $25 store credit. Daniel also won the lucky door prize, a copy of Werewolves at Millers Hollow!

Next Wednesday we're doing a casual hangout/learn to play night for Cthulhu. it'll be free, funny, and involve people playing the game/hanging out/showing others how to play. If you'd like to learn they'll be plenty of decks to choose from to have a crack with. Next league will start March 6th

See you all next Wednesday, and remember to fear things that go bump in the night!

Cheers
