where does it say how far the party token can move in one game week? or doesnt it say? can the party move as far as they want for just one space?

RtL Rules, page 10, "Party Actions":

Move Action
When moving, the party moves the hero party marker from its current location on the Terrinoth map, along one trail , to a new location....

Also, the Staff of the Wild becomes useless if the party can move as far as it wants in one week.
