Dice pack

By Lomax, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire Beginner Game

I would say yes, but maybe not till closer to the release of the book in the spring.

I hope they do because I know not everyone is going to want to download the Dice App. Though I can see it being a very handy thing to have for when the Core Book gets released in the Spring and GM's run it for bigger then 6 PC group

They have stated in the past that dice packs will be made and should be available around the time of the Core book being released. Which is slated for a Spring '13 release.

I wonder if you could order replacement sets for the beginner set like you could for other games. One of my dice has some pips that didn't quite get color but it's something I could live with, but it would be nice to have a clean set. In a weird roundabout way it's one way to get more dice sooner than later.

Are you talking about missing dots on Advantage symbols for some of the Proficiency dice? I have that too. I've read other people mention it. I kinda wonder if they are all like that (by accident rather than by design, I'm sure.)

It's more that the shapes are a bit blobbish, sort of like what happened with the Aggression dice in WFRP 3rd (though FFG had the foresight to include a set of replacement dice in the box. I'm sure that was a last second rush to the box as the original goofed dice are still part of the set, way past the packaging step). I can still clearly define what the facings are, it just doesn't look as clean. Of course I say that as if I would throw that die out after getting a replacement.

Mine are fine too maybe a few sets were missed

Oh I'm sure it's a rare issue and most are perfectly fine. I wasn't trying to imply this was as bad as the WFRP3e dice (which FFG fixed before the game hit shelves anyway)

Mine are good. But would love to have more dice just incase I lose one.

I suppose thats one of the advantahes in getting the app, you can't loose dice, which I'm still in two minds about getting because i like physically rolling them but if I had it I wouldn't have to worry about buying more to increase the pool size

I was on the camp : I like rolling real dice. I have bought the app, because I felt we didn't have enough dice to play, and I wanted to try it out.

I like it, it's for sure, you can't loose dice, but you also always have enough dice on hands (we ended up missing a die or two during our sessions). I still miss the physical touch of the dice, but on the other hand, everyone wanted to use my iPad for rolling their dice. In a perfect world, though I still prefer rolling real dice.

Ya I think I'll get the app then when it comes to needing more dice I won't have to worry and wait for more dice
