Critical Hits Card - when undoing?

By LudoBrabo, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Hi,

When you got a Critical Hit you get a Damage face up.

On the card "structural damage" there is an action to roll an attack dice and on a Hit, the card is flipped facedow…

Do you do this action immedeately after you get the Critical Hit card? And you do this action only once?? So if the action roll doesn't succeed, you don't get another try in een nect game turn?

cheers,

Ludo

Hi Ludo,

That card becomes an action card (like Marksmanship or R2-F2). During your movement, you can make the roll as an action (and can do each turn until it succeeds). This does, however, count as your action for the turn, so you can't focus, evade, target lock etc.

You would get to do this action whenever you would normally get an action. In other words, you have to decide if you want to do a Barrel Roll, Focus, Evade, etc. OR use your action to roll to flip the critical damage card. Of course, if you get a free action (i.e., from Squad Leader), you could use that to try and flip the critical damage card.

OK, tnx. All clear now :-)
