[European Circuit] Battle for the Wall in Madrid, 16th-17th March 2013
Just a little remark.
The Staff wants to make clear that Battle for the Wall 2013 is a completely different tournament from the one programmed for the same dates in a different city of Spain. The organizer of the other tournament - from outside of the organization team of Battle for the Wall- has considered (with all rights, of course) that his tournament should be in the very same dates.
We do not want any dispute or controversy. We consider that the choice of our dates, as you can see in our website, obeys to lots of different factors; some of them of international nature are related to the schedule programmed for a European A Game of Thrones Tournament Circuit, starting with Battle for the Wall in Madrid and continuing in Milano in May, with future projects in France and Poland and that ends in the European Championship in Stahleck, in November. We are counting for our tournament with the confirmed participation of several groups of players from different European countries like France, Italy, Germany or Portugal.
With the excellent start that was our first edition last September -with a fantastic number of players (86!) and, moreover, with the great satisfaction expressed by all the players that honored us with their trust- we launch this second edition of Battle for the Wall tournament with the same optimism, eagerness and hopes present in the very start of this road, and with the guarantee of a well done job. We do not have the intention of competing or attacking any other tournament, whatever this tournament is, that is realized in the very same dates- but at a local level-, as this seems to be the case.

Cannot wait to see if the first edtition matched in quality with the second! And if it does, it's going to be a great event
Greetings from the cold North, where we are preparing Battle for the Wall 2013!
We have some fresh news and some important changes in the event, especially related with its definitive location.
The place we had reserved, in the center of Madrid with all the benefits we already told in the website, will be not available for the tournament. Due to reasons strictly unrelated to the organization of Battle for the Wall 2013, we won’t be able to celebrate there the event. The owner of the establishment, without previous notice to his employees nor the clients that already had a reservation, has decided to close and dispose of his commerce, with our reservation being then cancelled.
Of course, we had an alternative prepared just in case. Battle for the Wall 2013 will take place in the same venue where the first edition was celebrated last September. It will take place in the Civic Center Sector 3 of Getafe (more info in the Section “Location”). We strongly ask for your comprehension and we apologize for any inconveniences this setback could cause. Along with this new info we are offering different options of accommodation, as close and cheap as possible, to make easier the trip of those adventurous participants from outside Madrid.
On other hand, and as the definitive location is no longer a private one, but it will be freely given by the generous Getafe Council, we will go back to the initial application fee of 20 euros instead of 25 as we where currently asking. (See changes in the Section “Registration”).
We insist on apologizing for this uncomfortable setback that, on other hand, is completely unrelated to the organization. This mishap has caused us many problems, as you all can imagine, and that’s why we are asking for your comprehension. And of course, we are not going to let this change darken this second edition of Battle for the Wall. And to achieve this success we are working as much as we can!
We also start with the Prizes section, with lots of exciting news!:
-More info about the new House Cards designed by Nacho Molina
-Prizes and tournaments for thematically based decks, do not miss the new Battle for the Wall 2013 Challenges!
-We reveal a little more about the rewards given to the participants of the European Circuit that register at Battle for the Wall 2013
-Rewards for last year’s winners! The glorious champions of Battle for the Wall 0213 and Stahleck 2013 will obtain a “bye” and some other more than interesting advantages.
Don’t forget to see as well the European Circuit section, where we explain what this exciting pilot project is about.
And this is only the beginning. January is going to be a month full of news!
The Staff.
Well, we’re getting really serious about the tournament now…
These days we’ve been announcing lots of news about prizes, gifts, giveaways…etc. Everything really cool, but that’s only words. Up to now!
Here you have the first sweet of many others to come, the first preview of the pin-ups by Nacho Molina, that are still work in progress. Sansa Stark, a little grown up, full of innocence and sweetness, looking for her blue prince to “roleplay” Ser Florian and Jonqil.
And you’d say… I can’t see a thing! That’s a little bit the idea, each preview (and we’ll have one per day) we’ll keep going down the image a little bit to get to the definitive full format that the AGoT card will finally have. So there’s only left to have a little patience and keep the days going for your look to get a little bit further down beyond that angelical face of northerner wolf.
Enjoy!

Tenacious, sly, vengeful. Those are the adjectives that come into mind when we think of the character of the people of Dorne. The dryness of their deserts, their hot food, their sweet wines and the historical development of their kingdom make of them people of peculiar idiosyncrasy, with a character surly and patient at one time, with spirit of revenge: nor Dorne, nor it’s governing family, seated in Sunspear, has forgotten their past, the blood spilled of their family, nor their alliance with the Targaryens.
To speak about the history of this people means inevitably to speak of a development sustained by their fierce women. When the warrior queen of the Rhoynar of the eastern continent, Nymeria, came with her people to Westeros, she took one of the strongest of the Dornishmen as her husband: King Mors Martell. Combining their strength, the two managed to unite all of Dorne under their rule; House Nymeros Martell has reigned since.
They say that Dorne was the only of the Sever Kingdoms that was not taken during the invasión of Aegon the Conqueror; nor the dragons nor the fire and blood they brought with them could defeat the strength of their deserts and the fierceness of their people. It had to be through a marriage alliance that the Targaryen could finally reunite the Seven Kingdoms marrying Daeron II with Myriah Martell.
We can see that, if there is anything special in this powerful southern house, that’s their women. They are far from a lady educated to have children and take care of their lord husband; to be the rest of the warrior has nothing to do with them. Heirs or bastard sand snakes, always fierce, sexual, sly, ready to defend their family and their kingdom over the other six if necessary.
And so is presented Arianne in this new illustration introduced by the talent of Nacho Molina. The contour of her figure shows us a body that only a dornish princess could have, of silky complexion and tanned skin, her hair as untamed as her headstrong character, inquisitive and sly look. In her hands she holds a thin veil than, once again, lets us only glimpse her real intentions. A woman of strong beliefs and even stronger purposes.
And with this display of charm and character she reminds us that, in Dorne, the women are the ones to decide. Are you ready to find out what she wants of you?
Arianne Martell
