Pilot: Horton Salm
Y-Wing (25)

  • R2-F2 (3)

I like to think of this as a Rebel rush deck. Keeping all three unit close in combat so I can use Dutch's ability to give Luke a free target lock. That way I could get 2 torps off in the first round of combat and Horton can slow down the other's squad main guy (like Wedge or Howlrunner). If I roll well I can hopefull knock out a ship (or two) to even the odds.

Any thoughts on this? What do you think will be the drawbacks for using a squad like this?

If anything, you want at least one torp on Horton. He rerolls blanks on attacks at range 2-3, which are the ranges for torps, so he is the best one to use torps. I'd give him at least one torp, and probably move the ion cannon over to Dutch.

Nice. You'll want to edit your post on team covenent a little bit, though. You've still got some references to Horton having the ion cannon, for example.
