Warpstone Excavation is a strong card that allows the player who starts a considerable advantage. In AGOT, locations provide income (gold) are Limited or Limit 1 for deck. So, why not make these changes?

Limited would only make Bordertown more popular

Bordertown = Armoury/Forgotten Cemetery without the limit Kingdom/Quest Zone. Or Contested Village at Cost 2.

Warpstone Excavation is too stroong. Limited this card reduce the "X" (Fortune) factor.

Bordertown is good as it is, without it's text and with limited instead it would become another must have neutral support…

Warpstone Excavation has been discussed enough on these forums, it won't be changed, developers are trying to limit use of it by introducing racial contested villages.

Bordertown is useless card against Orc Rush and Chaos Brayherd. It's should be another card.

Chill Sea Watchtower and Outlying Tower is useless if it is destroyed when play a Snotling Invasion/Beastman Incursion or development. It's needs to be a new FAQ. Warpstone Excavation will continue to be played for a long time.

Bordertown isn't useless against rush if you know how to defend it (just like spoils of war ->seduced by darkness for example).

Racial villages are destroyed by invasion cards, but when they trigger effects like Recruiting for War/Building for War/Raiding Camps or Raiding Ships they already paid for themselves. I trust that FFG will fix development bug in FAQ 2.0

Warpstone Excavation now mostly helps Destro which have weaker supports. Empire plays Forge (or Rodrik) and Dwarfs play Minning Tunnels. HE are bound for some nerf in the newest FAQ.

I agree with your opinion, however I would like to explain my point of view.

Bordertown is difficult to defend at the beginning the game because you think to build your game.

Racial Village are a good cards, have a good rapport Cost/Power and trigger actions War/Raiding Quest but 1 Invasion Quest can destroy more cards.

Note: Here in Italy, High Elf Deck use Rodrik's Raiders in Restricted List with Lelansi and indirect damage like True Mage or Loremaster of Hoeth .
