Hive Worlds and Hive Names

By Ripper.McGuirl, in Dark Heresy

Hello children. I was trying to figure out some places to make my players visit in their quest to root out the Beast House, and wanted to have as many hives involved as possible. I'm pretty well versed in Fenksworld, since it's my hell-hole of choice, but I was wondering if people could help me out with the names of the hive worlds and their respective hive names. I know that a lot of the names are scattered throughout the books, but sometimes it's hard to find that one sentance where they mention the name, or that one box where they talk about a particular world. I'm going to list the ones I know, and maybe you all can help me out with the rest...and if there's any other planets that you can think of that have Hive Names already, feel free to add 'em to the list. I would just keep this first post updated with what names we have...but we can't really do that on these forums as I won't be able to edit this continuously.

So, here we go:

Scintilla: Sibellus, Tarsus, Gunmetal City, (Ambulon)

Fenksworld: Nova Castilla, Magnagorsk, Volg

Tranch?

Malfi?

Solomon?

Haddrack ( I noticed in my DH book that this is listed as a hive world, but in the world listing available in the support section, it's a deathworld)?

These are the names that I thought I had seen the most, but if I'm forgetting one, pipe up!

I think there needs to be a Calixis reference sheet with all the planets, cults and organisations and which pages of which books have information about them.

Updating the Calixis sector document would be a good idea, but I doubt it's possible to copy all the information across from the other books.

Solomons Hives: Gloriana (Capital Hive), Atropos, Morrigan, Albia and Wrath.

There's the Tsare's Hive on Merov, named after the planetary noble class.

Haddrack is a forge/death world, center of power for the Cult of Sollex. Like the Hippocrasian Agglomeration, they are a secondary center of Mechanicus power that isn't necessarily completely beholden to the Latheic Archmagi.

Necromunda is a hive world, so it is not within the Calixis Sector. The major hive is called "Primus", as far as I remember.

Thanks Schoon, that's super helpful. I'm looking for Hive names themselves, too, though. For some reason, I never thought to do a text search on your site...that's smart. Or, as they say here in New England "Wicked Smaht".

I agree. If not a document, perhaps a Wiki could do it. Divided into sections depending on the type of world. Sub sections for each world could then include more details about hives, locations, renown/infamous NPCs, local flora and fauna, etc.
