New Descent-expansion proposal

By Cut, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

I have read through my copy of the Tomb Of Ice Expension and sorted all my Descent materiel once more, I have come up with some ideas for a new expansion pack and it's contents.

Having been an enthusiastic HeroQuest gamer back in the days when HQ was first out, I was thinking about things I still miss when playing Descent. At first I am missing 3D furniture. I loved the set-up of rooms with tables, treasure chests, a throne, cupboards, drawers etc. That was really nice to have. And even more than these things, I miss some types of monsters. Classical Fantasy monsters (like Orcs, Goblins,) seem to have been left out of the game on purpose. But I'd love to see some of the classical undead monsters: Gimme Mummies, Zombies and Ghuls, please. Maybe some new monster like Scarabs or the like. Or even some adaption of ancient egypt goddesses. Which leads me to the location of the new Quests and the name of the expansion: I'd suggest something on the lines of "The Pyramid of Doom" or even better "The Pyramid of Transition".

I'd then include some egyptian style markers, potions and include portals as a new special feature. That might even allow for a cross-over with the Doom Boardgame creating some sort of Stargate-flair.

This is what I came up with from the top of my head. More to come, after some more brainstorming.

Would anyone be interested in something like this?

all of that sounds really good, mostly the 3D objects. i would pay an expansion that consists of nothing else.

hmm we have Ice, Water, Lava, Mud, Corrupted so why not Sand? I think that is good proposal. But problems with real tables, bookcases, chests etc... is how could we place them ( large monsters, can't locate them on elevated fields - partly or half body ) to this places. How will be placed forex "tree" and how gain monster shadowcloak ability?

What about adding new mechanics:
Mineralogy (in Dungeons) rare gems, stones, opals, diamonds, ruby - which adds wearer ring (armor, weapons) new or better level of ability
Herbology (on Overland encounters) rare roots, herbs - which cut price of potion (lixiviated) from this herb or conjucturing new potion types.

I'd like to upgrade the included magic: I don't want Magic to be only a fancy sort of ranged attack. I come from a HeroQuest background, so I'd like to see some of the utility spells (Walk through Walls, Genie in a Bottle, etc...) included.

And I'd like to include a second set of armour, one that doesn't block a certain amount of damage, but that might block it, depending on a dice roll. That way, even the best-shielded moster or character might be wounded or even killed by a minor monster or attack. HeroQuest made this a very real possibility, which I liked very much.
