Derricksburg Forge

There are new support cards, very cheap cards, so, why is the forge already restricted? I think that we need new faqs to remove some old cards from that list, and include some new cards to avoid infinite combos to win the match.

Derricksburg Forge was restricted at a time when the Empire was annoyingly kicking ass, much like the high elves are now. One could argue that these newer cards suck in that if I play a quest to any of your zones these building explode, so they aren't as awesome as the D-Forge. But the old chestnut of "Let's take cards off of the restricted list" has been addressed in the past with no real conclusion reached. Maybe they'll do it, maybe they won't. Sunrise, sunset.

Several downsides to these new cards.

1st: they can be destroyed by any quest an opponant plays into your zone, which is a very likely possibility. it's a horrible trade. oppo gets a quest in your zone and destroys 1-3 of your supports in the process.

2nd: you can not play out of faction (non tactic) cards. This in and of itself is not necessarily a bad thing. I was very excited to try it out. BUT, when coupled with downside #1, it doesn't fair well.

3rd: there is no clarification as to whether or not you can play a development. is a development an out of faction card? is a development considered to belong to the faction of it's controller? We don't know.

I love the idea of these cards. but if they are so easily destroyed by an oppos quest, quests that have become very popular as of late, then it's just not worth the trouble. not right now anyhow.

Actually we know and it doesn't belong. Developments-units created by Kairos don't trigger Desecrated Temple when they leave play, do they? These new supports require errata very soon.

Also if anything is to be unrestricted it is clearly Soul Stealer (!) and Wilhelm.

yeah, DEVELOPMENTS currently destroy this cool supports, errata is needed soon…

Even with an errata to say non-development cards you still can't play neutral cards.

I don't think they are worth it.

If they were not so easily removed by your own developments or by one of the new, popular quests, I think they are worth it…especially if you get more than one in your opening hand. But with the previously mentioned downsides, you're right, they're not worth it.

Maybe these racial villages should have instead : "if you control a non-racial card in this zone , sacrifice this card".

You only have to not develop this zone (like Squig Pen) and your opponent must play his quests in this zone (Pleasure Cult in kingdom would be wasted^^).
