Anyone who knows Arkham and looks at Daisy's character sheet can see that she is sickeningly good. But it is one thing to know that intellectually, and another thing to have just how good she is demonstrated to you.
We just finished a game against Shub-Niggurath. Duwich was very active that game, with a gate opening in Gardener's place early on, at Wizard's Hill much later, and all three of the "two monsters appear in a Dunwich street" cards coming up. Attempts to close the Gardener's Place gate repeatedly failed, climaxing in Darrell Simmons being Devoured by Ithaqua. It fell to Daisy to sweep the streets of Dunwich and prevent the Horror from awakening.
Now Daisy was well-equipped. She had the Voice of Ra and Alchemical Process, both of which she used virtually every turn. She also had Shrivelling, the Golden Sword, a Revolver for half the game, the Pallid Mask, Implant Suggestion and Foresee. By the end of the game she had killed thirty-seven toughness in monster trophies: Two Cultists, two Zombies, two Ghouls, two Skeletons, a Ghost, a Rat-Thing, a Tcho-Tcho, a Nightgaunt, an Elder Thing, a Witch and the Star Vampire. At least eleven of these monsters were killed in Dunwich. Daisy also sealed three gates, one through perhaps the most powerful Arkham location encounters from Kingsport (which incidentally also spared us the Terrible Experiment and the Disturbing the Dead Rumors coming up near the begining of the game). And in all this time she never once went insane, unconscious, or got lost in time and space.
Is this at all unusual, or have the rest of you had equally extreme experiences with Daisy?
. Anyhoo, why does her being a Librarian help in any shape or form her reading books? Librarian is able to find books, not read them saner. For me her abilities should read:
