My 6 ship imperial build for Kessel Run

1x Mauler Mithel (17pts)

1x Dark Curse (16pts)

1x Backstabber (16pts)

3x Black Squadron Pilot (14pts each), equiped with Marksmanship (3pts each)

i only own 6 ties so im using what ive got. The plan is to engage at close range with lesser pilots to maximise their marskmanship early in the battle hopefully punching through rebel shields. my best pilots are 'less' expendable early on and will try to stay at med-long range targeting the heaviest damaged rebels ships until numbers dictate them getn their hands dirty at close range.

It seems to me that marksmanship wont get a chance to be used on the Black Sq. units but on Mauler, being buffed by Howlrunner, could get 4 hits in range band 1 or Howlrunner could buff Backstabber…just some thoughts IMHO

The trouble with giving Squad leader to Howlrunner is that it takes her action to do so. If you don't take an evade action with Howlrunner, she'd dead quickly. Even with taking an evade action, I lost her in the first round of combat to Nick at Worlds. I would suggest Swarm Tactics instead.

seems like a solid team. i like how Black Squadrons shoot b4 rookie rebels, even wout swarm. The fact that swarm works wout burning an action is crucial eh? iv flown the advanced tie, mainly as vader enough to know that i prefer a standard tie for its added speed and turning over it. thanx for the feedback guys.

Howlrunner will fly tight formation with 2 Black Squadrons an act as the 1st wave. The rest will use their added manouvrability to get ont the tail of any rebel, in particular those that break off from the main group :)

I like this list. I think it has potential. have you tested it out yet to see how well it does?

havent tested it yet but will in the nxt few days and get back to u. i like it. ppl in my area r pretty hot on the 8 ties build but imho its better to have some added punch and it is 2 less ships to plan for which in a long tournament is a bonus as it gives ur brain a bit more rest!
