Tide of Iron Miniatures

By talismanisland, in Tide of Iron

My brother is a collector of "toy" tanks and I wondered if the detail of the tanks from ToI and perhaps those from WTM were of sufficient quality to be considered "collectors pieces".

Any information or perhaps links to images of the same to see scale etc would be appreciated before I spring for a copy of the game on "chance".

You'll find lots of images and comparisons on BoardGameGeek.

If he wouldn't be playing ToI as a game, you'd probably want to pass on ToI. There are other models that are more detailed.

Excellent thanks. No idea why I didn't just check there to start with!

There are even some nice comparisons with minis from other games like A&A and M44.... I think they look detailed enough for display, but perhaps may be rather expensive if just buying the game for the minis... I shall ponder this and check out some car boot sales!

Thanks again!

Thanks for the heads up, they are quite interesting too. I shall bookmark it and keep it to show my brother. Thanks to all!

World Tank Museum... Yes.

Tide of Iron minis... No.

This is why I use WTM and third party manufacturer minis to play Tide of Iron. :)
