Any chance that you guys will hook up with iTunes? I'm too lazy to remember to check every time.

We're trying to get listed on iTunes, but every time we submit it gives an error code and Apple support hasn't been any help.

But, you can still subscribe w/ iTunes if you know the URL.

Select File->Subscribe to Podcast, and then paste in: http://feeds.feedburner.com/ElderThingsPodcast

Listened to most of it in the morning commute. I like the Cthulhu section where you discuss good cards. Would love to see this expanded upon in a "Top 10" of each faction (although from the whole card pool probably).

Also, if you're going to do decklist commentary, it might be helpful to actually run through the cards since this is a podcast. I don't have the lists handy when I'm in the car. It may add some time, but it might be helpful for the listener.

It's interesting that there were absolutely no Syndicate. Tom mentions in his report that it was one build that he considered teching against, and one that I thought was particularly strong. Now after tweaking my own version of the Yog/Shub Superdeck, it is just so much better compared to a lot of other stuff I put together that did really well in other matchups before, like Syndicate/Hastur or Syndicate/Cthulhu skill reduction decks.

Keep up the good work guys!

Our near-term plan is to do a Core+Secrets of Arkham review of all the factions, since this is where new players are likely to start out. Intermixed with these will be talking about different themed decks. Some episodes will have one or the other, some might have both, depending on what else we're talking about and how much time we're at. It's tricky to strike a good balance between how much card text to read without getting bogged down, but we're doing our best to zero in on it.

A Top-10 might be a good series to do once we've finished all the Core+Secrets reviews, but something like that is going to be fairly subjective. Another thing we were thinking of might just be picking out some of our favorite cards from each faction and going over those. Sometimes they might be really strong cards, other times just regular but with an interesting ability.

Anyway, we're meeting up to play tonight and will probably talk some about what to put into Episode 4.

Just some thoughts…I think y'all are doing a great job overall! And good job on the editing - it feels a little more natural although there were some strange segues, I guess from trimming the fat. This podcast was packed full, I actually had to rewind it and listen again since I felt like I missed some stuff. That's mostly a good thing imo. :)

Sure it will be subjective, but it's your podcast and people are listening for your opinions, no? Favorite cards seems just as good, though.

Oh, no problem on offering criticism. We're new to this and we're still learning.

As we go we're improving our editing I think, and starting to add things like background music, bumpers, etc… It's information-dense on purpose. There are already plenty of gaming podcasts where you can hear 45 minutes of some guys BS'ing intermixed with 15 minutes of actual content :)

Good point on subjectivity, but I was also thinking it's really hard to compare some cards to make a top 10 as well. That is, I think I could come up with a list of top characters, and a list of top events, but it's rough for me to try to compare a character and an event and decide which is "better" just because they're so different and have very different purposes in the game. So if we do it, it might be multiple separate lists. Some of them might even make sense to cross faction boundaries too. "Top 5 Tomes" for instance. Actually, that one sounds like a nice one to look into.

Another thing I've got to look into is planning our first contest, see if we can get that ready in time for Episode 4 or not…
