Creatures Anathema: Beware Amazon US Customers

On a related note Anathema was listed in the NobleKnight newsletter but now there aren't any Dark Heresy items listed at their site. Any idea what was going on? My gameshop has it on the shelf but $10 cheaper, as Dark Gods was, is still $10.

Nobleknight's system automatically removes an item if it's out of stock so they avoid any inconvenience by having to inform the buyer it's on back-order which has caused problems with other companies in the past. (I've had such an experience with Amazon and Comicsnow in the past myself) It will pop up again and usually in a timely fashion. New books do tend to sell out the first shipment proving they have a good base of loyal customers and rightfully so. Last week they had a large stock of the various books because I was tempted to pick up another corebook.

Here's a link to their stock of BI published books:

Here's their FFG stock:

Apparently the line is selling well for them.

Odd. I searched under Dark Heresy, nothing came up, then Fantasy Flight Games and only the Kit and other games came up. Searched under games and it just locked up. Odd. Oh well, looks like I will just have to buy it locally.

I always just click "Roleplaying Games" and then just scroll down to the FFG list.

I got a message asking me to renew my order, which I did against my better judgement... now the order no longer has a product link as the first page (which is the one that I preordered) has been removed. They also re-charged me for shipping (they had given me free shipping because of screwing up the order of not only this but Dawn of War 2 as well.) I grow increasingly tired of Amazon's handling of preorders, to say the least.

As you can see here:

www.amazon.com/Creatures-Anathema-Heresy-Fantasy-Flight/dp/1589945484/ref=sr_1_3

the book is already out of stock, as some of you correctly guessed. Though I recieved a message that my book will be shipped 30th of March, and I really hope this is true. It's sad when Amazon has dedicated "Wizards RPG team" and all other roleplaying products are left with bad support. sad.gif

I just ordered mine from RPGshop.com and received it in a week via FPO mail overseas. So as of a week ago they still had some in stock.

Well it looks like Amazon:

-Canceled my old order

-Put the other book in my shopping cart

-Gave me a nice discount

-Still have no idea when the book will ship.

I might be inclined to source it else where if I was currently GMing, or it wouldn't cost me ~$15-20* more else where.

*Between shipping, tax, amazon price, and special anoyance discount.

I pre-ordered CA from Amazon US, they wanted me to verify my wait for it which I did and it shipped today and should be to me sometime either late this week or beginning of next. *shrugs* But since I'm inbetween running or playing a DH game it wasn't so wracking for me to get it immediately. Best of luck to getting yours.

Hmmm got an email it shipped late last night. Our office admin handed me the package today. (UPS 2 days is often 1 day for me from Amazon) So while it's a few weeks late it cost me about $21 including shipping. (With amazon prime I get free 2 day shipping, and as they ship from Nevada no sales tax) Count me as a continued happy Amazon customer.

PS- Now I may break down and source the RT book some where else as I must have it!!!!

I verified a wait too. But they haven't updated my order to the new book listing, which is now stated as "in stock".

I just shot them off an email. I hope that will resolve it, (and i'll get the $23 pre-ordered price)

I pretty much use NobleKnight.com to order all my RPGs and I've never had a problem.

the name says it all :)

I havent' had problems either.

I sent Amazon an email on Friday stating there are two item numbers for same thing with one available and one not. I asked them to change my order to the available one and later that day they responded with a yes and its due to ship on 3/19. So finally its coming and I did keep the pre-order price.
