Definately. There are a couple of us in the Reading PA area.
Allentown here. We've a few guys currently buying into the game, but nothing organized yet.
Delco/Philly here, some scattered players that I know of around here, but I'm down for it!
Reading area guys, what shop are you out of?

We don't have a consitant shop. We do other events at Games Keep in West Chester or Six Feet Under in Lancaster. I'm going to the tournament at Games Keep this weekend.
I'm playing with the idea of doing a tournament/mission day in Reading, PA? Would anyone be interested? Depending on numbers, I can run it out of a local game shop or at my church.
I'm aware that this is a necro thread, but I'm hoping to connect with some players in the Lancaster PA area and I figured this would alert any of you who are still using the forums. Is anybody involved in X wing that knows of a community around Lancaster PA? I've got two friends getting into it with me.

There was a lively scene at War and Pieces, a game shop in downtown Lancaster, but it seems like it died sometime over the summer. Maybe with enough interest we could revive it and get players to come out again? The next best option is The Adventurer's Guild in Harrisburg which does XWing nights every other Weds and tournaments every few months.
Wow I'm glad someone responded... I stopped in War and Piece and they said there was no local community, just the three TIE punishes left on their shelves. Six feet under games said they aren't hosting a tournament this year after zero players turned out last year. The comic shop by the train station said they're not hosting events either. Both six feet and ye comic shop said they sell Xwing products regularly and order several times a month, but they haven't seen a success with game nights.
I called adventurers guild and they say that they expect 8-12 players. I've just started in this game and only played a few games. I'm thinking of flying a simple build at that tournament to learn the ropes. So you plan on going? Are you local? I'm in Lancaster City.
I am local to Lancaster, I live 25 min south of the city, ya it seems that the closest place to play is the Adventurers Guild for tournaments which makes me very sad because they are an hour drive from me. I would love to try and get the local community in Lancaster back up and running. Feel free to PM me. Anyone have any idea on how best to re ignite the community?
I posted on War and Pieces' Facebook page and they said they've been getting lots of requests for Xwing and that on Jan 2 they'll have a special announcement about it.. I assume they're going to be bringing back some sort of weekly or bi-weekly league. I live in Conestoga which is pretty close to Lancaster, but I work in the city. So I'd say let's wait and see what they announce this weekend or early next week, and if we need to we can try to set something up ourselves if there aren't any better options by then.
I called over there this afternoon and spoke to someone that said 1) they just got a huge shipment of X Wing in and the owner will have it processed and ready for sale next week and 2) they are planning to bring back regular X Wing nights starting in January. I'll be playing. I know of two other guys in the area who are buying Core Sets this month and two others who like playing but don't intend to purchase it yet. I have enough ships to loan them should they want to play. Looks like we're getting the community back up and running!
Is anyone playing at Adventurer's Guild on Saturday January 9th? I'll likely be flying 4 Rookie X Wing w/ Proton Torpedoes to learn the ropes at my first tournament.
I'll be at the Guild on the 9th, should be a good time.
War and Pieces just made two facebook groups: "War and Pieces Xwing" and "Lancaster City Xwing" - probably a good idea to join them to get updates on when people are going to start playing. You can join them by clicking on the links from today's post on their facebook page.
I have just started getting into X Wing and am planning on going to War and Pieces on Wednesday night as it looks like they are going to be having casual play at 6. Let me know if any of you are planning on going as well.
I'll be there tomorrow along with a friend of mine who will be learning the game and unboxing his first core set

I think I'm skipping the guild on the 9th in favor of playing at war and pieces tomorrow. I really only have time to do one this week with a 20 page paper due Sunday that I haven't started yet. W&P is more my speed (beginner) right now and it's close... I want to build a local community around a shop. I'll probably buy a ship tomorrow to support their efforts at hosting X wing.
I'll certainly be there tonight as well. I'm also a beginner, but I've bought quite a few ships since I've gotten into it so we should have a decent variety. Good idea about buying a ship there too. I bought two there on Monday in hopes that they'll start / keep supporting X-Wing.
Here's a link to a battle report on our first X-Wing Casual night at War and Pieces in Lancaster, PA!
This is actually fantastic! My family and I are moving to Lancaster from Iowa and I love Xwing. We'll be living downtown, close to the train station. Which comic stire is near there? And which one has the regular games? Thanks!

There's a comic book store within sight of the the train station, on McGovern.. They carry X wing and restock each week. There's a game store a bit further south, in the central market mall (small shopping center between market st and Queen st) and they carry it as well and host X wing nights twice a week. There are two more of us active on the boards who live in the city and another couple within 15 minute drive.
When do you settle in?
I'll be moving in the 23rd of this month, so it's coming up fast!
Looking forward to get to some games in. Let us know when you're ready to stop by the shop.
I think War and Pieces is actually planning on doing a very low key tournament at the shop that day. Not sure what time yet though. I doubt you'll be able to get away from moving in for long, but it may be a cool way to meet at least a couple local players on your first day here.
Im just picking up the game in the Lancaster area. Are any communities still active?
