this is soooo sweet makes me want an ipad sooo bad or a way to play it on the pc, i was just thinking today how awesome this would be if it was digital….. also i dont know if you want but you could possibly post on kickstarter and see if you can get funded so you could but other tablets/servers or w.e else to get started and spread the kickstarter aroud to every one and i bet most ppl would love to play this online just like so many people play magic online

everyone already does play online with OCTGN. This is just different because it would be the first iOS option.

yea i found that after i had made that post… is there a spot on the forum with ppls names?? would love to play with someone some time also have a cpl buddies who might be gettin on it to play also

Are there any availabilities left for testers? I dont go to the forums often, and just noticed this now.

I have room for 32 more testers before hitting my limit of 100. Join from the link on the first post of this thread.

What time are people usually on the Rookery? Every time I connect nobody else is on.

I have found people in there sometimes, but it seems most Beta testers are using the Deck Builder and not playing games.

I'm usually on around Noon to 1pm Weekdays San Francisco California time.

I actually saw you in there once, Yak, but you didn't respond when I send some chat messages. I hope to see you there again soon.

Are you still taking testers? I would love to be considered. Thanks.

I have room for at least 30 more testers, so click the link in my very first post on this thread to sign up. Don't forget to add your iPad device after you sign up! I need the serial number of your device to update the compiled game so it will allow you to run it on your iPad.

For new testers, here is a short list of how to use the App:

There are several pre-built decks available for testing: All Core decks and the very old Wildlings and Circle of Spies decks from the classic days.

  • The App opens to the "Table Top" screen where games are played. You can join The Rookery by clicking "The Rookery" button on the top row.
  • The App opens with 20 random cards. You can play those cards from your "Hand" window by double-tapping them. This produces a menu so you can play the cards face-down or face-up.
  • Once a card is played to the table face-up, double-tap it to "Kneel" it. Double-tap again to stand it back up.
  • If a card is in play Face-Down, double-tapping turns it face-up. A second double-tap will kneel it.
  • Just drag and drop cards around the table as you see fit.
  • You can "Throw" cards onto the various icons on the screen to put them in your dead and discard piles or back into your hand or on top of your deck.
  • The buttons on the top row are self-explanatory.
  • Click the "Rules" button at the bottom to see the rules PDFs and latest FAQ.
  • Single-tap your Dead pile picture to display the cards in your dead file. Double-tap cards in your dead pile for a menu of things to do, like put them back into play and back into your hand. The same goes for any of the icons for the various "piles".
  • Once a "pile" is visible, you can drag it around by holding TWO fingers on the pile and dragging the smaller window around.
  • The search feature of the Deck Builder (access via deck builder button at bottom) is quite extensive.
  • Double-tap cards in the search results in the deck builder to add those to the table.
  • Drag and drop your cards around any way you like on the iPad as you build your deck. Use the buttons at the top to save new decks, copy them, or open existing ones.
  • Cards you've played on the iPad will re-appear in that same location when you re-open your decks. (I love this feature!) It's almost like building decks on a real table.
  • Single-tap cards in-play or in the deck builder or anywhere, really, to have a larger copy slide out from the top right side.
  • Single-tap the larger image to make it go away. (And cross your fingers I did good memory clean-up in my code.)
  • When building decks, just add your Plots, House Card, and any Agendas to your deck. When you open decks on the "Table Top" screen, plots are shown to the far right of your "Hand" window. Your House Card also appears just to the left of your Plots. Agendas will appear just to the left of your House Card, and the App will also draw 7 random setup cards and display those just to the left of any Agendas.
  • Add Power and Coins to the table top using the buttons at the top. You can drag them around anywhere you like. You can drop Power icons onto any card in the game and the card will display however many you put on it.
  • To "Spend" gold, double-tap the coins in-play and they will disappear.

If you have any other questions, let me know.
