Does that look like a Void-7 Seismic Charge to you?

By ArcticSnake, in X-Wing

Looking closely at the upgrade cards included with the Firespray 31, I thought that the fourth card from the right sorta looked like the end of a Void-7 Seismic Charge.

According to the wiki, the Void-7 is used to clear out asteroids… sorpresa.gif

Also, the card next to it seems to start with the letters: "PROX"… Could that be a Proximity Mine?

I think yes and probably yes on the mine too.

Do you have a link to the image you're looking at?

So, knowing what we know about the contents of the Millenium Falcon, my guesses for the upgrade cards from left to right:

New Crew, New Mod, Veteran Instincts, New Elite Talent, New Cannon 1 (GN-40 Blaster Cannon?), New Mod, New Cannon 2 (ION Cannon?), Assault Missiles, Homing Missiles?, Void-7?, Proximity Mine?, Slave 1 Title Card, Gunner Crew

Thanks!

Definitely looks like a Void-7, and that square token looks like it too. It would make sense that it's a mine if it comes with a token to put on the battlefield. But what is that round one next to it?

I do hope that the Slave 1 comes with a new cannon that can be equipped on the Y-wings, much like the Falcon has new missiles (uh oh better not mention those) that can be equipped on the TIE advanced.

Does anyone else notice the large round token is notched for a movement ruler/etc?

The notches could be meaningful, or they could just be part of another scenario.

My theory is that this is how you will deploy the mines/seismic charges:

Line up a maneuver template on the notches on the rear of the ship base. (This may be restricted to straight 1, or some small number of options.)

Place the mine at the other end of the maneuver template, lining it up with the notches in the token.

Then maybe the charge will go off automatically, with an area effect (like the one in Episode 2 asteroid scene) or the mine will sit there until someone overlaps it or gets within range to trigger it.

These will be a really cool addition since there is nothing like them in the game now, even if they don't work like I guess.
