Hello, Truedragon5374 here to present two new support ship hulls. I wanted to build a light repair ship but the smallest thing i could put spacedock piers on was the goliath factory ship and i thought it was stupid that i couldn't put a manufactorum on a transport the size of a heavy cruiser. I also wanted to build some transport ships designed to do something other than move cargo. So i spec-ed out the Anvil-class repair ship and the Destrier-class navy collier to support it in large fleet movements. The Anvil could make a good secondary ship for a budding RT fleet while the Destrier is more for official navy use, maybe as a ship needing RT escort or as a target for a little RT space piracy. So her are the Anvil and Destrier support ships and some pre-built examples. Feel free to use them and please tell me what you think.
(P.S. I just moved to Everett, WA and i am looking for a Warhammer 40k RPG group, I anyone is looking for a new player please email me at [email protected])

Surrogate Power Source: Anvil-classes are routinely called upon to provide power to damaged vessels and are equipped with additional generators; add +10 Power to the ship's drive output.
Service Vessel: This vessel was designed to repair and service navy warships and no amount of retrofitting can change that. This hull comes pre-equipped with one Manufactorum and one Spacedock Piers. This has already been factored into the amount of hull space available but 9 Power must be provided for them.
The Anvil-class is the current standard mobile repair vessel of the Calixis and Koronus Battlefleets. About twenty years after the start of Saint Drusus' crusade to conquer what would be the Calixis Sector, disaster struck the support structure of the crusader fleets. The Adeptus Mechanicus had assigned a dozen massive forgeships to the crusade to service the mighty fleets and to eventually lay the foundations for future forge and mining worlds. Six of them were stationed in an unnamed system to act as a semi-permanent space dock, while the rest serviced the fleets directly, when they were caught in a freak solar storm that stripped the plating from their hulls and left them as barely functioning wrecks. With the crusade in danger Saint Drusus conferred with the explorator magos' to devise a stop-gap measure for the fleets' repair needs. The remaining forgeships set up in a safer nearby system and began rapidly converting dozens naval collier ships into relatively small repair ships using the largely intact inner systems of the salvaged forgeship wrecks. The new design proved to be exemplary in servicing fleet task forces on the move even if they could not fabricate entire components one site. Despite the transitory intentions of the designers, the Anvil-class was quickly adopted by the newly christened Calixis Battlefleet and the design has spread to other nearby systems as well.
Built upon the hull of the standard Destrier Navy Collier, it is designed to tend to the needs of a task force on the move. It has powerfully augmented engines for tug duty which, when unburdened, are capable of matching cruisers at speed and they are armed and armoured enough to take care of itself. It is fully equipped to perform any repair that does not require a full spacedock. Rogue trader dynasties will often try to acquire one of these vessels to service their explorer/trade fleets. The size of a light cruiser it can service up to 4 ships of equal size or 2 vessels up to grand cruiser size.

While the Imperial Navy relies heavily on standard transport vessels to feed it ravenous hunger for supplies and ammunition, task groups and fleets away from base require a much stronger beast of burden to keep them stocked. The Destrier-class was conceived from the keel up to be a navy collier. The size of a light cruiser, it is capable of hauling enough whole components to completely refit a grand cruiser and enough supplies to supply that same ship for over a year. They are fast enough to keep up with the cruisers they supply and well armed enough to often travel with only light escort.
