Scottish Players?

By DaveJW, in UFS Uk Forum

Hi there,

I'm in the process of opening a games and comic shop in Kirkcaldy, Fife and I'm interested in supporting UFS. The shop will have a dedicated area for in-store gaming (not just CCGs) so rather than entirely going on guesswork I thought it wise to ask if anyone in Scotland plays UFS or not.

So, are there any UFS players in Fife or indeed Scotland at all?

Cheers,

David

You need to sign up for this straight away dude: http://new.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_news.asp?eidn=422 it will help get the game going I'm sure.

There is a player base in Glasgow and a few players in Edinburgh, but with a good cross over between comics and UFS I'm sure you will find some players, especially if you play UFS yourself. If you want any demo decks drop me a line at steveg@esdeviumgames.com and I can get them sent out straight away, I'm sure I can drop some promos and what have you in too.

UFS offers a really good organised play structure, all you have to do is register the tournaments in time and the prize support is free. There are also league kits, also free, and there are big plans afoot to help retailers in the pipeline.

Cheers Steve, I've actually sent you an email last night about this so hopefully you get it. I've signed up for the Retailer Jumpstart so fingers crossed we can make something happen.

Hi Dave

Kyle here from colchester i personally am a scottish player however living in england, i am however visiting just over the tay in Dundee and there is a good magic and general ccg player base so ill see if theres anything i can do to intice them ill be up the in late march so steve is there any chance you can send a few demo decks to Joe and ill take em to highlander games in Dundee to see if we cant rustle up a few players

I can just send them straight up to Highlander, its easier than you having to hike them up yourself.

Hi there,

In the build up to opening the shop I've organised 2 UFS events to be hosted by Balwearie High School in Kirkcaldy.

These events will take place in the evenings of Friday the 27th March and Friday 3rd April and will be free to take part in.

More specific information can be found on the shop website and I've also now created a UFS Yahoo group. More details about these events can be found on the websites.
