Kenner Blockade Runner - re-paint
I have been looking over this thread. Great work! I'm really interested to see your ISD board
Planning on creating an SD board with the rear half of the ship so created these to use as objectives. Very tempted to do the same for a mon cal or similar to sit across from it on another mat, imaging a game where all the little guys (not forgetting the large xwing ships) are slugging it out in the middle of two behemoths trading broadsides...oh ****...in crawls the brain worm...has to be done now (facepalm)
scale shot with an x-wing
And a damaged version of course!
It's all compatible with the existing tower system too, the new guns are sat on top of the large tower bases and look pretty nifty connected to any of the other parts
Made a few new turrets for our trench system, everything interchangeable with our other bits n bobs, cards are downloadable from the website
Quad cannons, good anti fighter system, also looks pretty funky on the towers and asteroids!
Raptor missile system and tractor beam
It's getting bigger!
Also updated the bomb pack!
Probably big enough to use in x-wing too so...
Saw a few pics of a style of space station I have always liked in one of my Diagostini falcon mags, just had to make it! 25cm span...its a biggy and will make a brilliant centrepiece for our games! the arm disks can be exchanged for a weapon variant and then simply pop on your weapon of choice smile emoticon I have pinned and magnetised mine as I intend to slap a few spare pods around with the lump hammer and create a destroyed version much like our smaller model. I have included an Armada ISD & Halo CAS in a couple of pictures for scale
Btw, one of those critical mass moments, I create so much stuff I often run out of space, hate parting with things but sometimes have no options!
The QX style station is currently on ebay, not one for direct links but if you search for 'QX Style X-wing, Star Trek Attack wing Space Station' you should find it
Awesome work. I'm so jealous
I think I used up all of my likes for today just in this thread. Holy ****, this is a motherload of awesome.
Thanks chaps, had a lot of fun with this project
In fact I enjoyed this project so much I even made some funky interior details! These simply slot into the cavity in the base, either a large hanger type or multi-roomed bunker so you can play CQB battle or simply play with your ships making pew pew and neeeaaaaaawn sounds
DAMS...
Can't even remember what wave these were they have been sat on the side for so long! Finally got a clear morning and gave them a tickle over, keeping to my 'minimal effort' mantra with the X-wing stuff so simply shaded out the panels and edged them a bit. Call me finicky if you may but I just couldn't live with that factory weathered finish, you know, the one that looks like someone dipped a yard brush in a bucket of black paint and dragged it over the model!!
Ghost looking real good there...
I like the Ghost better that way. Less pristine.
Awesome work,
Couldn't resist jumping on the Hoth bandwagon!
Yeah, well, sitting and doing nothing got boring real quick..here's some Hoth stuff
ATATs are free card downloads, ATSTs and Speeders are repainted Micromachines and the Planet Defense Laser, towers and gens are my own, cant wait to play this had lots of fun setting it up for the pics..already started collecting sh8t together for the Imperial Assault scale tabletop!
Holy crap, that's gorgeous.
Love the AT-AT with the skinned knee (or is it a stubbed toe?)!
I have that exact same blockade runner with the original box and everything. How much are they selling for nowadays?
Edited by KingsguardNot sure kingsguard, got mine quite a few years back now, about 30 quid I think with box
Had a little time to put brush to rock this week so I think I finally nailed down what our new Asteroid Defense core set will consist of, bear in mind this a totally sandbox set-up so the builds shown are merely serving suggestions, what you need or build are totally your own imagination! I love open ended narrative style gaming so, for me, the ability to be able to create a base to suit your objectives is an added bonus and I'll be honest I really enjoyed creating them! So much fun to build I fear my room may be overrun with hundreds of asteroid variations before the month is out! Working on the booster sets as we speak so expect some more weird and wonderful builds anytime soon! Few ships from different systems shown for scale...
