UFS: Anima... that'd be cool.

By GraveLord, in UFS General Discussion

Anyone who've seen the artwork, played the miniature, rpg or card game for Anima would agree that the product is quite solid. I love the artwork and the card game and the characters interest me. I want them in oofs.

Agree? Shouldn't be so hard of a license to obtain since FFG already has the license for it.. just need to license it over to the UFS property.

I dunno if it would be feasible with respect to pleasing the players -- they're already pushing their own original property out on a playerbase that {from many reports} joined for the sake of the licenses. Adding another relative unknown to the card pool might alienate people yet further -- and each Anima set is one less release for fanboys to get their fix.

anyone playing sf4 online knows the power of fanboyism when 80% pick ken, 8% Sagat, and 10% the mighty ROO. the other 2% is everyone else. except rufus.

while i'm all for more properties, i don't think it'd fit in if it's not an established fighting game or have a huge base due to the sheer amount of people that have to be pleased.

quoted for truth, except for the lack of mighty boxing action being mentioned.

However, having played the cool little card game quite a few times, I would not mind seeing them in the game, however with them just releasing Shadowar, if they decide to do something like that, I would rather it wait till next year.

Wouldn't having Anima in ufs reduce sales for Anima's card game aspect?

Just saying...

But there IS some wacky UFS thing I'd like to see...

I'd mind for two reasons :

1) It undermines ShadoWar. Not that I'm a great fan of ShadoWar, but it does undermine it BAD.
2) I looked at the minis, and honestly, I'm not exactly impressed.

Doesnt FFG only hold licensing rights to Anima? They'd have to negotiate further rights in order to make a CCG out of it, something the license owners might not want.

Nevermind, as has been said already, it undercuts ShadoWar to a degree.
