I have just a quick question about this quest:

Can the heroes pick up the Shadow Key?

Our Overlord player claimed that only Baron Zachareth and the master monsters could pick it up.

No, just a master monster or Zachareth.

And holy hel is that quest hard then.

It isn't that bad IMO. Heroes have to seal three runelocks, all in a different direction. If they head for one to the west, swoop in with south and east monsters to grab the Key. If they split, gang up on the halves of the party, take one out, freeing up those monsters to join the rush for the Key. Fast-moving monsters (if you have CK, Razorwing master moving 6+ FTW) combined with Dash can get that Key moving very rapidly.

I meant that it's hard for the heroes. =)
