British 6th Airborne Card

By player674990, in Tide of Iron

Tricky rules, but definitely neat.

My only problem is this: I hate printing crap from the net to use in games! I don't own a good printer! Baagh!

Just release this stuff with the next expansion... can't you do that..? Please...? This is why I quit Tannhauser.

I guess I'm somewhat rather lucky then, as my printer is old , old, old.

Made by the Jurasic Computer Company, but it does a decent job.

Your comments are made worse for you, in that I believe that the British have two identical initiative cards now, one from DotF, and one in Normandy. Maybe you can work something out using one of those two cards somehow?

I wouldn't be suprised to see them include these two cards in something in the near future though. The whole campaign scenarios idea is a great one. aplauso.gif

As a designer, I see the argument for both sides. The major reason a card or rule being introduced via the web is twofold (at least for me):

1) It gives small rules a tweak to keep things fresh but the tweak may be a novelty versus something you would play all the time.

2) More importantly, all web content is not necessarily tested as much as I would like.

Thanks for playing!

I would like to clarify:

1. I love bonus material off of the web.

2. I hate supplementing a game with *many* web-based printed materials.

I love that FFG puts out new and innovative ideas for their games (especially my favorite TOI) but I just don't want Tide of Iron to venture down the Tannhauser path.

In short: I realize it (most likely) won't happen since FFG is a distributor for the French Take on You publisher of Tannhauser, and that game line in an English language version is roughly a year behind the new releases and provide monthly content for printing off of the web.

I'd just rather have FFG toss a few $$$ to Mike Z. and have a current scenario editor up than these campaign/division cards.
