2 Champs and a Chump Episode 86- A Roll of the Dice
**** i wish apple would update the podcast app immediately when you guys upload these in real time. this would be perfect to listen to on my commute home today.
Haha.
I feel like I will end up disagreeing with a lot of comments in this cycle. :-) It happens every cycle!
Out of curiosity, did you guys pick a top 5 that you would have discussed if not for HoD?
There were two more on our short list (Little and Less and Dragonbone Bow). If I were to round out the last two slots without consulting with my cohosts….. I'd lean toward Greenblood Merchant and Walk of Shame. I think that Flood Waters is just inches away from being a great card though. Any further River plots released only add to its ability to potentially be awesome, and I'm fairly certain we would see more Rivers in a naval themed set.
I agree on the Bow and Little and Less, but I'm surprised by Flood Waters. River Plots arent really all that great right now, and theres this…
While I dont necessarily disagree with your opinion on house of dreams (im pretty sure i agree with everything that you said), the dripping sarcasm and mockery of the agenda was a bit over the top imo. you could have easily presented the opinions differently so as to come off unbiased (not sure that is the right word im looking for) in the review.

lolronic
Agreed that we were probably over the top with our reaction to the agenda. It started out as an attempt at some kind of cheesy infomercial voice over style, but degenerated down from there at times.
So, do any of the other hosts read this? What would their top 5 be?
So can you guys do a podcast where you play some HoD deck vs. some standard deck (like KotR)?
And what's your opinion on a clunkiness of setup which comes from the fact that 3 gold is not exactly the same as 3 + X gold to play stuff? Because it seems that it makes it trickier to drop 2-3 characters that people usually try to drop at setup.
It's getting to be about time to do another faceoff podcast, so I think that would be a good one to tackle before long.
As for setup, I'm not generally shooting to maximize the number of characters that I play on Setup (for instance, Refugees left most of my decks a year or more ago) but rather am looking at the overall curve of the gold count in my deck. While I can see that the slightly different break on Setup gold could be an issue for decks like Nobel Rush (spelling intentional, let's get some unique deck type names going!) which are particularly heavy at the 4 cost slot for characters, for most of my decks, it's not uncommon at all to play a 2 cost location normally. Frequently I hit on something like a 2 cost location, 2 cost character, 1 cost character and a 0 cost location. Or 2 cost location, 3 cost character, and two 0 cost locations. In general, it effects my general style of deckbuilding very minimally in a negative sense.
I think we have enough larger metas now to do a meta v meta tournament with running commentary each week on your show. I havent really thought about the best way to run it though. If anyone has thoughts on how this could be done lets get the ball rolling. Maybe a series of double joust games with two players from each meta?
(As far as a know double joust is two joust games played round for round simultaneously, the the winning team being the first to a combined 30 power).
A few podcasts that I know and that have people in different areas record through Skype.
If we go meta vs. meta, it has to be an epic one: Dobbler playing KotHH vs Corey playing HoD.=)
Bwahahaha. That would be an interesting match.

I'd pay to see that.
How has there not been some kind of series that has these hosts and others from the community of these forums have spectated webcam games between two people while the others watch and play "commentary"? I think that would be genuinely fun.
