Can FP be used to re-roll results from tables (i.e. Shock Table, Psychic Phenomena, Perils of the Warp), or only re-roll check results?

I've always gone with the rather specific FPs are used to reroll "tests." (Page 185, note that "Test" is capitalized). I don't allow them to reroll simple table results (phenomena, fear, that sorta thing).

In our group, we do pretty much the same as KomissarK has outlined: we allow reroll for "Tests." That means we don't allow them to be spent to reroll for Shock or Perils of the Warp.

However, given the rather cut-throat nature of psychic powers in DH, we have houseruled that a psyker can spend a FP in order to reroll the result of his Focus Power Action BEFORE rolling for psychic penomena. It's not RAW but we've found it to be a good compromise. If you DID decide to allow a FP for rerolls on the tables though, I don't think it would break your game or anything.

Yeah, I don't think its game breaking either. But I do think the intent though is more that PCs shouldn't be rolling on these tables, the GM should (if only to have more leeway in adding circumstances far more appropriate to the current situation (what good is blood pours from the walls if there are no walls around?)).

From this, the intent is more that PCs should only be using fate points to reroll dice they rolled.

Indeed, you may re-roll your focus power test, BEFORE rolling to check what the Phenomena might be. You may not re-roll the Phenomena results. Any re-roll of the Focus Power test is final, and may not be (re)re-rolled.
