Super Crisis cards question

By EvilEwok83, in Battlestar Galactica

okay, played a couple times and a question came up this past weekend...

super crisis cards? are they discarded after use....or re-used? the game is hard enough for the humans without multiple supercrisis cards...but I can't find mention in the rulebook about discarding the supercrisis....instead all I found was that supercrisis cards "remain in hs hand"

Each revealed Cylon gets one Super Crisis card, which is one-shot. They do not get another (or the same one back) after they use it.

x2. Yeah, they are just discared after use to a Super Crisis discard pile, like normal Crisis Cards are.

This, in fact, would enable a second cylon to get the same crisis card, after revealing and going to the correct cylon location.

Yeah, but you would have to blow your Cylon action (essentially your whole turn) at least 4 times (discard and draw through the other 3 Super Crisis, reshuffle the Crisis deck and then find it in the new deck of 4 again). It might take as many as 8 actions to get the same one your Cylon ally had. If you waste that many actions the humans are easily going to win the game.

Actually, my friends and I play differently : when a cylon active the location to discard his super crisis card and pick a new one, he does so but right after that, we shuffle the remainig cards (including his discarded card) so that another Cylon might have it on his next turn. Basically, we don't have a supercrisis discard pile.

It's an interesting idea to be sure, but it is not how the rules are.

The rules say that Super Crisis Cards are treated just like normal Crisis Cards, so going off of that, they should be discarded/reshuffled the same way as normal Crisis Cards (aka only reshuffle when the Super Crisis Card deck is empty).

Thanks.. very clear as always...

Lol, I've probably read the rulebook straight through only 2-3 times, but then with how many times as we've played the game, plus how many times during those games I've had to look stuff up, I would say that the BSG rulebook and I have become quiet close friends lol. gui%C3%B1o.gif
