I played through Kazad-Dum. I failed the first time on the Seventh Level, just swarmed by enemies. For the next run through I got Burning Brand on Denethor and that made a huge difference. Easy victory for the others.

And unlike Caradhras, Rhosgobel do not return in stage 2b, because the quest card doesn't order you to travel to it when you reveal quest card 2a or 2b.

So, if you take your time during stage 1b, but you have explored Rhosgobel, then you can heal Willyador wihle searching for Athelas and then storm through stage 2b (12 progress) and in 1 or 2 turns win the quest….

So I see why he says Northern Tracker is a must in hand.

You already have 3 copies of Steward of Gondor and Light of Valinor, and "3 copies" (counting Minstrell) of Song of Kings, that should be enough to draw one. Also the thing I don't like is that all of these attachments are unique, so you can't play more than 1. Once you get a, for example, Light of Valinor in play then searching for more attachments won't be beneficial…

yes it make sense… but many time i had lost the attachments and try to fint them again is very useful . In any case it's a great deck!

Good luck when you try to quest through any of the Heirs of Numenor expansion, I fear you are going to need it. I have a Noldor deck (Glofindel [sp], Elrohir, Elladan) that performed very well all the way through until Heirs. The lands of Elendil offer no solace for Elves in the Third-Age…

I built this deck and it's a lot of fun. I started with the first scenario in the core set and that went down easy. Journey down the Anduin not so much. Maybe I got a bad draw, but I just didn't have an answer for the Hill Troll. I tried to wait it out, but eventually I wasn't able to wait any longer and once he engaged me, it was all but over. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow. Thanks for the deck!

Glad to hear you had fun with the "One Core Set" version that was posted here. I love the deck, I hope I can play the last quests asap…

I will most likely be getting a second copy of the core set soon. Have you tried this deck in mp? I'm wondering how well it works alongside a tactics deck.

I'm in the process of acquiring all the adventure packs so I can build this deck. In the meantime, I've been playing with most of the cards and a few stand ins for others. I've had OK success. In any case, I wonder why Burning Brand is not included in the deck for Denithor? That seems an ideal card for a dedicated blocker, and has saved me innumerable times.

Also, more of a noob question here, who gets the Song of Kings? I've been giving it to Denithor since I don't always have Lore cards to play or I can get them out from the discard pile with Stand and Fight. Just curious if there's an "optimal hero" for it.

Thanks so much for posting this deck. Even with my partial copy of the deck I can see the power of it. I'm looking forward to getting all the APs and building this.

Burning Brand isn't included for 2 reasons: first of all you only have one character that produces Lore resources and there are cards that need 3 (Rivendell Misntrel) and 4 (Haldir) that are too important so you can't spend those resources on this card. Also you you ways to cancel shadow effects with the Spirit cards so this isn't really needed and will slow your deck down quite a lot…
