Prologue
Going in, I was going to be playing Andrew Olexa, with an Air/Chaos base. However, the shortage of Feline Spikes within our group, and loaning out my Berts, meant I couldn't play that deck or one based off Order. My next most comfortable symbol is Chaos, and going in I'd been working on a tri-symbol Kyoshiro. But I was persuaded by one smooth talker (Mr. Ben Shoemaker) to just play Defender loop if I were to play Kyoshiro.
And so, as we piled back into the van after stopping at Dairy Queen for a bathroom/Blizzard break, I spent abotu five minutes making a Chaos Kyoshiro deck. That night, I played one game with the deck, and then made some minor adjustments, which became the finalized deck for the next day. Here is is.

Most of the deck is extremely self-explanatory; it's not rocket science. It's both extremely solid and extremely consistant. Looking back, the only changes I'd probably make are the removal of the NRS, and the possible change of Negative Strain to Butt Slam. Adding in Powerful Style would probably have been a big help in keeping myself alive against Mr. Jon Herr. A third Defender and a fourth Lynette's would have helped, but I didn't have 'em at the time. If I ever rebuild it, I might give them whirl. Divination would have come in handy at one time, too, as I cycled my deck and RFG'd three of my throws. Billiard Player would also have been a huge enabler, as almost every time the loop wasn't ready by turn three, it was because I was missing one card (typically Defender or LotM; drawing the throws was easy).
The sideboard was made by my general lack of anything that I could think of to put in it. This deck's worst enemies are Revenant's Calling and Amy's Assistance (Past Shrouded in Mystery, too), so I put in a few more committal cards to get those taken care of. Trapped in a Nightmare earns the underdog MVP spot in the deck, being insanely useful when it came time to put certain cards to bed, like Chester's Backing, BRT, and the like.
The only losses the deck had throughout the entire tournament were to one man - Jon Herr, whose Donovan won the tournament. I played against him in the final round of Singles, and again in the semifinals. Other than that, the deck didn't lose a single game. CURSE YOU, JON HERR!
Changes that would have been made with an Order/Chaos split - addition of BRT, Experienced, Amy's Assistance, and ProMal to the mainboard, and the removal of Battle Ibuki and probably Trapped in a Nightmare.
Questions and comments welcome.
