Intimidate and Unopposed

If a character with strength 9 and intimidate attacks and the defender defends with strength 2, the challenge will be unopposed because of the intimidate, correct?

That is correct as long as that is a character that gives you that 2 STR. Intimidate causes all characters with less STR to not count their STR in that challenge.

Melee title challenge bonuses will be unaffected however.

More generally, a defending player cannot "oppose" a challenge if they count 0 STR for the challenge, even if they have participating characters on the defending side.

Thanks! I ran into this on TCO and my opponent said he could oppose with 0 strength, but I insisted I was correct and he was a gentleman about it. I'm just glad I was correct or I'd have felt bad. (Not that it mattered, he won anyway, but c'est la vie.)
