Oregon anyone?

By lokirising, in X-Wing Organized Play

Looking to start an X-Wing group in the Portland/Beaverton area.

I'm running a league at Dice Age Games in Vancouver on Tuesdays starting November 13th. I know that's probably a little car for a weeknight from Beaverton but we play a lot on Saturdays too. Any tournaments will be on Saturdays (first tourney will likely be in January).

So far I haven't seen anything else about Portland area players but we've got 10-12 so far for our league at Dice Age.

Rainy Day Games meets every other Tuesday. The next meeting is the 23rd.

Awesome to see another group in the area! Let us know if Rainy Day will be doing any weekend events. I'm sure I could get some of the group at Dice Age to come over and play!

Jim

We have only just started at Rainy Day, but I'm hoping to build up the community. I'll ask them about Weekends and let you know what I find out. If they don't then maybe I'll drive out your way when you start doing tourneys on the weekend.

Rainy Day on the weekends is jumping. Finding playing space will be a challenge, but I'm down.

I was going to stop by RDG today, and see what type of events they have for X-Wing. Are you guys still playing twice a month on Tuesdays?

Also, has anyone asked them if they would be willing to run a Kessel Event for X-Wing?

I thought it was going to be every other Tuesday, but it looks like the 2nd and last Tuesday of the month. The next meet up is the 13th. I asked them about the Kessel run, and they are signed up for it, and are waiting to hear back. I know they also signed up for the league play kit too.

Nice! Good to know that the boys at Rainy Day are looking out for us. Hopefully my work schedule is agreeable with me playing…

Dice Age Games in Vancouver, WA rec'd their official notice tonight that they have been approved for the Kessel Run Event.

I'll be running their event on Saturday, December 15th (exact times and other details forthcoming). We have space for at least 24 players and can accommodate more if needed.

Did Rainy Day or GG get any word back yet?

Jim

Yes, Rainy Day is running theirs on the 16th at 1pm and GG is running theirs on the 16th at 1:30pm. Both have entry fees. RD you have to pre-order 30$ worth of stuff, and GG is 10$ entry fee.

So it's a 30.00 pre-order and an entry fee for Rainy Day Games?

No. The $30 of pre-order IS your entry fee. I was talking to the guys there about this very thing last night.
