Blood bowl board game GW

By radioboyeric, in Blood Bowl: Team Manager

Can we please have a new version of Blood Bowl? If FFG could only remake the GW board game with mini expansions for different races, that would rock my world. Who's with me!!?!? Please FFG, make this game. And have it shipped next week please. Thank you.

Sadly, Games Workshop own the rights to the Blood Bowl board game, which FFG uses under license to produce this entirely different game. That said, if FFG could get their hands on the rights to this game (which they most likely can't) many, many people would be very happy to see their favourite game getting support again., outside of the pc game.

I agree with you. It would be nice to see a reboot of the Blood Bowl boardgame and knowing how Fantasy Flight (FFG) puts out top notch components for the game would make this a very nice marriage between Games Workshop (GW) and FFG. I think they (FFG) did an excellent job giving the players the feel of the Blood Bowl experience witht the Team Manager game, but I know this does not cover all of the complexities of the boardgame. I have been wondering if they can get the rights to print the game and if the Team Manager series might be paving the way for that in the way of market interest. One thing I think FFG should keep in mind is that the field size should still allow for all of those GW miniatures and teams people have still work in the new game. Backwards compatibility a plus here.

I think if FFG were to get their hands on reproducing this they probably will have to agree not to use the 28mm scale to insure that FFG mini's can't be used with other GW products (and we all know how GW is) but it would be nice to have a updated Blood Bowl game again but the world would have to come to an end for something like this to happen.

Won't happen, sadly, as GW will NOT license games that requre miniatures to be produced as that is strictly for Citadel (GW's mini producing company that makes most of the money).

Citadel could still produce the minis for a new edition.

… but then these would be a little bit expensive …
